91% OF CHICKS DIG IT
I'm always on the prowl for nail polish that has staying power and doesn't need four coats to look like the color I thought it was in the bottle. I came across these at Walmart and the price was right, so I picked up two. Actually, the price was right AND they had several sparkle shades which I can't say no to. I love to put the sparkle coats over a coat of opaque color to add some extra WOW factor to my toes, and this didn't dissapoint. I bought Rockstar Pink and Shooting Star (blue), and both are gorgeous. A lady working behind a make up counter at a drugstore actually had to bend down to get a better look and wanted to know what brand it was so she could order it into her store. Seems to really last as well!
After falling in love with the brush and formula for Sally Hansen's Insta Dri line, I'm on a bit of a nail polish kick, and I picked up the Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear in Celeb City because a) it was only $2.79 and b) the brighter silver shade seemed like a fresh take on metallics.
And it's gorgeous. The colour is exactly the shade of the matte side of aluminum foil, but with an extremely pretty shimmer. I've read that some colours from this line take a few layers to build up, but if anything Celeb City goes on too thick if you're not careful. I liked the effect of a lighter touch, so used only a very thin coat. The brush isn't as wide as the Insta Dri one, but still wider than classic SH brushes, which is good. And I didn't have any issues while drying. It might be a bit too bright for hands, I'll see.
Update: this stuff is bullet-proof. After three weeks, there wasn't a chip or peel and the colour hadn't dulled. I removed it to change colours, but it showed no signs of wearing out.
My nails are very sensitive and I always have to have at least a coat of nail polish on them. I love this nail polish because it helps keep my nails from chipping or cracking.
This is a really good nail polish and available in the drug store!
I have four of these and not one of them has dissappointed me yet. They are well pigmented, easy to apply and long lasting. There is not much more to say as it doesn't really have any drawbacks except maybe to expand the colors.
I have:
Petite Pink - a light pink frost
Brick - a fantastick brick red jelly
In The Navy - a gorgeous navy blue with shimmer
Gunmetal - a true gunmetal grey/blue with frost
I came across these on several blogs, and jumped at the chance to buy them for myself. I bought mine at Pharma Plus when they were on sale for $1CND.
I'm not a pink polish person but I LOVED First Blush, and Cotton Candy. They were more on the sheer side at 1-2 coats, but looked gorgeous to me at 3 coats.
They held up to my everyday wear, (typing, writing, tapping...) and out wore most of the other polishes that I have from China Glaze, OPI, and Essie!
The only quirk I had with it, was that the darker colours EASILY stain your nails. So It might be a good idea to use a base coats for these, or at least a layer of nude polish before using the Sally (Plus doing so helps to bring out the colours more :) )
A definite rebuy in my books ^^
I recently tried this nail polish in Dark Royal Blue and I was truly impressed. It didn’t chip for 5 whole days, and when it did they were tiny chips! Like someone else mentioned, I got bored with the colour before it wore off. That NEVER happens. I also like the brush (it’s not too wide). I had to apply two coats, but that is because it is a dark colour, and those always look better with two coats. Dark Royal Blue is a fun colour for girls who like dark nails, but don’t want the severity of actual black. This colour looks black, and then in the light it shines royal blue … so fun! Highly recommend.
I went searching for nail polish the other day and came across this brand at Wal-Mart, I loved all the colors, and bought 2 bottles, a pink and a blue. I agree with all the previous posts, I only need 1 coat to get the full color, which is unusual for most nail polishes! Sally Hansen has always been my mothers favorite but now there are some more hip/trendy younger colors! I just wish I was allowed to wear nail polish at work!
After a French manicure went bad at the nail salon about a month ago- I decided to try and do one myself...not wanting to spend a lot of money on something I’m too lazy to do more than once every couple of months lol I came across the white ...tried it out and it was like liquid paper!
I naturally have very pliable nails, so chipping was inevitable...that having been said they were slightly harder thank usual and despite the price it coats and dries amazingly!
Come to think of it Im going to see if I can find another shade I like after work...
I was testing nail polishes at the store and I normally never buy any but I tried the Fuschia Power and loved it. I saw that it was only 2 dollars so I bought alot of colours.
They go on very well and they only need one coat. I love the variety and intensity of the colours and they are definitly well worth the price.
