Great if you can't make it to the salon!

If you can't make it to get your nails done professionally than this is a great alternative! It's good for a manicure in a pinch! Not intended to let super long so don't be surprised if it chips after a few days, but it'll give you the desired look for a bit!

Wonderful Drugstore Option

I prefer having gel nails over a regular manicure because I use my hands a lot both at home and at work, so regular nail polish rarely lasts a day on me. I was intrigued with Sally Hansens gel nail formula since it's a lot more accessible than salon brands so I was hoping it would be great. And it is! It lasts about 1 week on me and the polish is very opaque and vibrant. Two coats of the colour and you're good to go.

A tip for those saying it did not last as long: When you're applying gel nail polish, it's really important that the polish does not touch your cuticles nor the skin on the side of your nails (i.e, less is more!), because this will cause the polish to lift off and you wont get the full wear time of it.

I will definitely purchase more of these.

This kit is expensive. I'm going to start off with that, just to get it out of the way. I really had to think about it before I invested in a gel nail lamp. I've been a big fan of keeping my nails painted since high school, mostly because it was what finally stopped me from chewing my nails. Regular nail polish at my old job (at a warehouse) was awful though, and chipped after 1-2 days, and I could never keep up, so I finally decided to use gel.

I bought this kit over the others out there because hey, it's just a light, and I figured this one was cheapest, but it's been great. I love using it. Even the nail polish it came with is great (though the light pink takes a few three coats to go opaque). My gel nail polish usually lasts me one week (not the two it advertises) but that's mostly because once I notice it peeling or chipping, I take all of it off, whereas most people would probably leave it longer. This has greatly improved things for me, and even when I'm hard on my nails, these still last way longer than regular nail polish and topcoat. I really recommend it. Try getting it done at a salon first, if you're still not sure!

When done properly the gel polish last me 2 weeks and a bit. I love these polish they are very pigmented and you don't need to apply a lot I made that mistake. I like that it comes with instruction.They are easy to remove. I bought mines at Closeout King for a third of the price or on clearance at Shoppers Drugmart. I have a few different colors.

The Sally Hansen gel nail polish is great when you don't have time to get your nails done all the time. Drys fast and lots of colors to choose from!!!

Price for the kit was quite acceptable for this type of product. I found the polish went on quite nicely, a slight streak on a few nails but perfect with the second coat. Waited until dry as instructed, the top coat. Dried quite quickly, while I did more work on the computer and with keyboard. Pleased with all of that. Unfortunately still had the same wear and chipping that I have had with others using the light. Needless to say I am still searching for the best gel polish for longevity.

I bought this product just to try to see what I thought and in turn it was great. Nail polish stayed just as long as it would of if I had gone to the salon. This was worth the money I spent.

I like this nail polish. I can wear it for a very long time before I need to put some back. It's a little bit long to applied, but it stayed longer than other nail polish. A lots of different colors to choose.

After trying this 3 separate times I would definitely recommend it. The price is a little high to begin with but you will definitely get your moneys worth by using it multiple times.

PROS: The manicure lasted 6-8 days (The box advertises 2 weeks, but I still think this is good)
My nails stayed chip free.
I also found the polish was easy to remove in one piece and didn't require nail polish remover (which is provided in the kit)

CONS: The base coat, top coat and polish are a little small and will require me to purchase more after a few more uses.
The polish can stay "tacky" for quite awhile, up to an hour plus. So finding a good time to complete my nails can be a hassle (best is before bed)

Overall, saving me the $40 or $50 dollars going to the salon is worth the price. I'm quite happy with my purchase
