    Must have for the kitchen!

This combination rice cooker/steamer is a compact little device that has quickly become an everyday item in my kitchen. It's very small, but can make up to 6 cups of rice, and will even keep the rice warm for hours after cooking without burning it. I've found that the rice it makes is almost perfect, with only a few occasions where the rice near the bottom was a bit more cooked than I would have liked. For the most part, the rice is soft and fluffy, and never crunchy or undercooked.

One odd thing I have found is that the water almost always bubbles over slightly when cooking, but that doesn't mean it spills. Instead, the rice cooker is designed in such a way that some bubbles can spill over through the lid and that water will fall back down into the pot. It does create more of a mess to clean up, but it doesn't cause any actual problems with the machine or with the rice.

Steaming vegetables is as simple as placing them in a small basket which rests on top of the rice cooker, but under the lid. This means you can actually cook rice and steam your vegetables at the same time without having to stir anything or even worry about it burning.

I got this on sale and the price was definitely right, great value for a handy gadget that gives you a rice cooker and steamer in one!
