Good idea but I prefer capsules

Fall is a perfect time to boost your immunity system, and I find that to add supplements to your routine is a great idea. Usually I am not a fan of vitamined gummies, the taste and the texture are a little bit strange. I would buy instead the capsules.

Product received for free from Butterly.com in exchange for an honest review. Sambucol Black Elderberry Immunity + Cold and Flu Relief Gummies is said to provide immune support. I work in close proximity with the public and avoiding catching colds is one of my top priorities. Anything that can help me avoid getting sick is advantageous to me. I enjoyed taking Sambucol Black Elderberry Immunity + Cold and Flu Relief Gummies daily to increase illness prevention and protection given that it has a very pleasant taste and it chews and breaks down quite easily in the mouth (unlike other brands of gummies). The Vitamin C and Zinc is said to aid when sick to fight the symptoms of colds and flu (yet another benefit of this delicious little gummy).

Good concept, bad flavor

Gummies have always been a good way to take vitamins. But the flavor of this product is not really good. It is sour and I do not like the texture of it.

Good

It taste good, but its hard to tell with only 2 doses. I might get more to give it a try. I have used Kids Elderberry Syrup and I believe that it works.

Good for vegans

Thank you Butterly and Sambucol for sending me two complimentary sample packages of the "Black Elderberry Advanced Immune Support with Vitamin C & Zinc" vegan gummies to test and review.

I was particularly interested in trying this product from Sambucol because I regularly take Vitamin C and/or Multivitamins in gummy form (anyone else hate swallowing pills as much as I do?)

According to Sambucol these “great tasting" gummies can be “taken daily or when sick to fight the symptoms of colds and flu.” Since I am currently in good health and only 4 gummies total were provided for testing, I cannot confirm or deny the aforementioned claims. I can, however, speak to the taste and texture of the product and I…ultimately did not enjoy either.

The initial taste is actually quite pleasant - a combination of tangy, fruity, and sweet - but quickly turns somewhat sandy towards the end. I suspect that this flavour might work better in the powdered drink version. Also, I like my gummies to have a bit of resistance/chew to them and I find these too soft as they are vegan and not made with gelatin. As someone with a bit of a sweet tooth, I use my gummy intake also as sort of a ‘candy fix’ and the taste and texture of these gummies are too far off the mark from what I consider my perfect gummy vitamin.

Unfortunately this product is just not for me, but hopefully you can obtain a sample and come to your own conclusion!

Did not taste good

I appreciate that this product is available and that it is chewable, but it tastes horrible. I would not purchase. I would stick to my regular vitamins. I hope this company can work of the flavour. I chewable vitamin is more simple so I hope there are at least other flavours to try out.

Very sweet

I usually try to take vitamin C during flu season so I was excited to try these gummies as a free sample. They are a bit grainy in texture and very sweet/sour. I’m sure they work fine just not my taste.

Decent texture

Black Elderberry Immunity + Cold and Flu Relief Gummies had a decent texture but the taste of moldy fruit was too much for me. I know having vitamin C and Zinc will boost my immunity but I could not get past the unpleasant taste.
