Delicious, somewhat effective

Daily immunity builder

First off I want today it tastes great and it's definitely something I could drink daily to support my immunity system. It taste similar to cranberry juice but a tad less tart. I also love that it is free of gluten as I try to be gluten free. It is also dairy,soy, wheat,nut ,egg and artificial color and flavor free which is amazing for many. The drink can also be used to help when you are sick with cold and flu symptoms. I will be recommending this to my family and friends for sure and it will become a staple in my house.

Great product

We use Sambucol all the time for their elderberry gummies so we had to give this one a try as well. It tastes great and seems to have shortened our colds this time around!

Immune booster

Great benefits and Taste!

This sample arrived when I was dealing with a cold. A perfect time to test the product when already ill. When mixed as directed I found the taste strong, but pleasant. I tried the second packet with a little more and water and preferred the the milder taste. I enjoyed the drink. It left me feeling hydrated and the worst of my cold symptoms disapaited quicker than usual.

Hard to say..

You get 2 small packets to try. I'm not sure what they expect for a review. This product mixed well with the water. It tasted pretty good. I'm sure it helped boost my immune system, despite getting a cold not long after.

Amazing but not for me (very personal reason)

I was so excited to receive this product since I’m such a big fan of elderberry products, I’m a big believer in natural health remedies. I believe in traditional health remedies, too, but I’d like to favour natural medicine when I can.
I love that there was no artificial flavours in this, no artificial colors, it tasted absolutely divine, I would drink it every day if I could, the reason I can’t is because of the added vitamin C in it and it’s in the form of ascorbic acid. I actually suffer from painful bladder syndrome/interstitial cystitis, so ascorbic acid, flares my bladder up along with other certain foods and drinks. I’m very bummed out about that, since I love this product, and I believe so much in the immune boosting properties of the elderberry, and the effects can have on peoples joints, can actually help with bowel movements as well, full of antioxidants, and all that jazz. So sadly with this product, I won’t be able to continue, but I would always support Sambucol and their original formula since that did not upset my bladder. Just being honest, I know it’s a very personal reason, but maybe if someone else reads this out there that has painful bladder syndrome, and they know that ascorbic acid flares them, they can steer away, and maybe try the original formula instead. Great taste, easy to dissolve

My ritual every time I get home after a plane ride is to take a hot shower, wash my hair, and knock back as many immune supplements as I can find. I usually use fizzy immunity-boosting tablets, but was eager to try this new powdered pouch from Sambucol. The powder itself dissolved very evenly and quickly in a glass of water. There was no clumping and nothing was left undissolved or settled at the bottom of my glass. The taste was great – while I don’t know if I’d be able to say it was elderberry per se, it was enjoyable and fruity. Each pouch contains 500mg of Vitamin C, which is way more than the daily recommended value (but no harm at all in taking that much), and 164mg of Black Elderberry extract, which is supposed to be loaded with antioxidants. It’s difficult to say just how much this truly “boosted” my immunity, but at least as a placebo, it does the trick. It’s worth noting that despite such a long plane ride with a number of other passengers who were clearly very ill, neither one of us caught any cold, flu, or COVID. However, it would have been nice to see some other ingredients included, perhaps zinc and magnesium, as some other brands do include more.
