Dryed out :(

I was so excited when I first purchased my SCANDALEYES JUMBO LIQUID LINER because I had used my friends one night before going out and it was great. So when I opened the one I purchased I couldnt wait to try it out and go show off my new liquid eye liner to my surprise it didnt go on as easy as the one of my friends that I tryed it very dryed out :( It was hard and crusty/chrunchy and wouldnt smear on how it should I tryed dampening it and just nothing was working so I gave up :(
So now im a little confused as I first tryed a friends and LOVED it but I opened my brand new one and got worse results.. so I have had a good and bad experiance I guess. I hope I get the chance to try it again in the future but am weary as I dont want to waste money on it not working again.
