90% OF CHICKS DIG IT
When I first used it, I was very impressed with it. The water-activated moisturizing serum seemed to negate the use of shower gel - or at least it made the post-shower touch-ups much easier! - and using it was an absolute breeze. I couldn't believe that a product like this had only JUST been invented.
Unfortunately, very quickly, the serum was used up. Or rather, the serum which came through the rows of holes was depleted asymmetrically, which basically meant that using the razor felt like using a standard, no frills razor head. And at this point, as you can probably guess, I was no longer with impressed with this product. Sure, the handle is comfy and the 5-blades part is nice, but the selling point of this product - the serum - is gone.
I'd say try the product for the serum if you like, but be warned that you'll be left with a normal razor sooner than you had anticipated! Personally, I'll be sticking with my other razors from now on.
I don't like this product. The handle is shaped weird and it does not give me the shave I am looking for. I prefer a handle that does not feel awkward to hold while shaving, and I like shaves that are close to the skin. I definitely prefer using Gillette Razors.
I got the Schick Hydro Silk razor as a free sample at a fashion show event. I usually wax or epilate, but when I am in a rush, I shave. I usually use the Venus Embrace razor. Since it was free, I decided to try it out. The razor was good. It gave a pretty close shave and I didn't have to go over some areas of my legs a few times. There were some sticky residue left on my legs, which I didn't appreciate. My legs did feel somewhat soft and smooth. I feel like it is like any other razors out there. I don't think I would recommend it.
I usually dont have a problem with razors but this one i found to be kind of annoying. When i used it the first time i found the area around the blades to be gooey and would leave like a snail trail on my legs. The second time i used it the goop was all over the place, i had to peel whatever was on there off. I wouldnt use this product again.
I was lucky to try one of these for free courtsey of facebook and i got to tell you .. even though it looks really slick!!! I do not like the handle. I find it very difficult to shave with...
Got this as a free sample. It works great on my legs but NOT for bikini area. Doesn't do curves well!!!!!
The blade glides smoothly on my skin after a warm shower.
It has a rubber handle so I am not worried that it will slip out of my hand.
My skin didn't irritate afterwards but I put on some lotion anyways, just in case.
No razor burn! Yeah!
Maybe it is the way I shave but it didn't shave as close as I thought...
Overall, I found this razor did a really good job but I didn't see any difference between my current blade and this one.
*Please note that the product was given to me from the PR company but the opinion is mine.*
I was looking to try a new razor when I came across this Schick Hydro Silk razor; it had a $2 off coupon on the box so I bought it. The box it came in had one razor, two razor blade cartridges and one hook to hang it in your shower when it’s not in use. The razors handle is made of a rubbery type of material that gives you a non-slip grip and it fits in your hand nice and comfortably. The razor also has a water activated moisturising serum strip and the five blades are curve sensing with skin guards that help to protect your skin from any irritation. They say to get the best results you should use it with a shaving cream, but I just used water. I wanted to see just how well the moisturizing strips really worked. At first I thought this razor was garbage and wasn’t worth a penny never mind the $10.43 that I paid for it. It seemed like I had to keep going over and over the same places to get the hairs completely removed. I thought for sure my legs would still have hair left behind and they be as dry as dry could be, or have cuts all over them. How ever after everything I had put them through when I got out of the shower and dried off I realized that my legs weren’t dry, they felt silky smooth and I didn’t feel and left over hairs at all. I believe if I would have used a shaving cream like it is recommended that you do, I wouldn’t have had to go over and over my legs like I did. I usually don’t spend that much on a razor, but I’m happy to say this razor is well worth the money I spent on it. It’s still not as good as the Gillette Venus Embrace razor, but I would still recommend the Schick Hydro Silk it to others.
