not the best of it's type

I tried this natural deodorant because I heard it works better than the mainstream brands. I was willing to give it a shot because I'm always looking for things that will make my day to day better. This just did not cut it. It has a very peculiar smell... kind of like the bathroom products you would find at a small cheap hotel - not something you would want to smell like all day. It applies really thick and doesn't go on as smoothly as regular deodorants do. It's also a darker grey colour so I was afraid if that would get on my clothes and it kind of does. On top of that, I'm not convinced that it does that great of a job. I'll stick to my regular options unless they update their formula.

Best Deodorant I've Found

I've been looking for a natural deodorant that works and this certainly does! The scent is fantastic. It isn't sticky (which some natural deodorants can be). It works great!! My only issue is I find the price a little high.

The best Schmidt's that I tried

Super smooth and smells so clean! Works well, even during a workout. Great ingredients that are natural and clean. It is made in Canada, and I would definitely purchase more Schmidt's deodorants in the future.

Natural scent

I went to use it and follow the instructions. It states to place it on your skin to warm it up a little and then swipe up and down and I absolutely loved it it smells amazing. It goes on very nicely and it works wonderful.

I Was Amazed That This Actually Worked

I was incredibly skeptical when I first received a sample of Schmidt’s Charcoal & Magnesium Deodorant!

I have used antiperspirant for as long as I can remember, so to switch to a regular deodorant was a daunting process. (For anyone who isn’t sure of the difference, an antiperspirant blocks sweat, whereas a deodorant simply protects against the odour of sweat.)

Surely it would feel awful to have wetness under your arms?!?

The first thing I noticed when opening this deodorant was the scent. If you’ve ever drank magnesium supplements you’ll notice the similarity. It was a pleasant smell and not too overpowering.

Secondly, I noticed the firmness. This is a lot firmer than a standard antiperspirant stick and you do have to hold it on your skin for a moment to allow the coconut oil to begin to melt.

How did it work?!?
I was genuinely shocked at how well this product did work! It turns out you don’t always sweat as much as you think and it did an awesome job of hiding any odour! It lost that magnesium smell once applied and simply left no scent at all!

So am I a convert?
It turns out that I’m pretty happy using this kind of product for my general days, but I’ll still be keeping hold of my antiperspirant as well. I happily used this product for a couple of weeks, but upon having to go to an important meeting that was causing me stress, I just couldn’t cope with the wetness under my arms and I had to add some antiperspirant. Stress sweat has always been a thing for me!

But it’s great knowing that I now have this option that I am happy with 95% of the time! This will allow me to at least use less of the aluminium salt formulas that make up our antiperspirants!
