Nicer then I expected

I was unsure how I would like this product. It seemed like more of a masculine product. The product is a bit difficult to apply. It is a bit rough to apply and I could see this being a problem for someone with sensitive skin. The product does have a very faint, light fragrance which I enjoyed and would be good if you work in a scent free environment. The product left me feeling fresh all day but I also used it when the temperature was fair, not overly hot out. I also wasn't doing anything too physical during the day so I wasn't really able to put it to a true test of durability.

Not for me

I was excited to try Schmidt’s Natural deodorant for free thanks to Chick advisor and #trySchmidtsNatural, as it’s the first hemp seed oil natural deodorant I’ve seen. Unfortunately, after trying to the Charcoal + Magnesium scent for a few days, I would have to say this isn’t the deodorant for me. I found this scent more masculine than feminine and fragrance was very strong. As well, I found that the texture was sticky, gritty and felt like sandpaper when applying. It did also leave residue on my clothes.

An effective deodorant for anyone!

The Charcoal + Magnesium deodorant is a great for anyone, especially if you're looking for something not heavily fragranced. At first I was nervous to use this as I thought the greyish colour would be noticeable on my underarms, but there was no noticeable colour when I applied it. Although the fragrance didn’t last long on my body, the deodorant was still effective as I didn’t not experience anything unpleasant and I felt that my underarms were fresh. This formula had a chalkier texture and was slightly harder to apply, but that was easily fixed by allowing it more time to warm up in my underarms. As someone that has tried other natural deodorants, I like that my body didn’t have to go through a detox period with this!

Did the trick, worked well under pressure. :)

I found the scent to be quite strong but it worked well as a deodorant. It stood the test of a full day. It even did great when I was sweating a bit extra at times during the day. There was no need to reapply.

Natural smell

I have been on the hunt for a natural deodorant for a while now. This brand worked great! I personally wasn’t a fan of the scent. To apply you have to hold it under your arm to allow the deodorant to warm up before you can apply it. Not sure if I didn’t warm it up enough... but I found the application slightly rough.

No body odour all

This product did a great job of keeping body odour away. I followed the directions and used the product as suggested and had great results. The product does have a harsh scent so I am able to wear it to work. I made sure not to use it right after shaving as well.

Not our match

I was thrilled to have the opportunity to #trySchmidtsNaturals as they have a great reputation, and the new formulations sounded incredible. The Charcoal + Magnesium deodorant sounded interesting, and my male family member was intrigued by the idea of a charcoal deodorant. As for all products, not all natural deodorants work the same for each person. Unfortunately, these were not a match for us, though there are certain qualities we would like to highlight.

My brother tried the Charcoal + Magnesium deodorant. He doesn't like stick deodorant's clumping in his pit hair, so he agreed to shave first, and as per the instructions, waited at least 8 hours before applying the deodorant. It still burned him badly and he refused to try it again. He did mention that he had enjoyed the scent, as it was fresh and he said held a hint of tang to it.
I cleaned off the deodorant and decided to try it myself. I waited 48 hours since I last shaved, and my underarms are not usually sensitive anyways. My underarms also stung a bit. I must mention that my toothpaste is baking soda based so I don't have an allergy to it, but apparently deodorant with baking soda does not suit my family. The texture felt a touch sticky to me, though my brother had not remarked upon it. I also thought that the scent was very nice. If it was not for my skin reaction I would have really enjoyed wearing the deodorant even though it's not technically marketed to women, I think the scent is pretty universal.

Works, but not for me

I appreciate the opportunity to try Schmidt's Charcoal deodorant very much. Currently, I am in search of the natural deodorant that will perform well as my regular drugstore one. Unfortunately, Schmidt's didn't work for me. It leaves white marks on my clothes, and it is not enough protection during hot days.

Un bon produit, il a une odeur douce et il a tenu le coup malgré une grosse journée de travail. La couleur du charbon peut surprendre un peu, mais il ne colore pas la peau. Le bicarbonate de soude peut par contre être irritant pour certaines personnes. Pour ceux qui cherchent à acheter local, il est malheureusement fait aux États-Unis. Il se trouve facilement en pharmacie par contre et son prix est raisonnable.
