Difficult to apply

Unfortunately, this deodorant was super hard to apply. It says to hold it to the skin so the product can warm up for easier application. It did not work. It went on chunky and I would have to wipe it off entirely.

Smells great

Once getting the deodrant I was excited to try something new. Upon inspecting ingredients they use Parkii (Shea butter) and i'm allergic to it so it ended the trial.

Burns and is super graining

This felt like rubbing a paste of baking soda and water/oil on your underarms. It did do its deodorizing job but the graininess led to a lot of irritation. My armpits BURN!

Made me itchy

I received the Schmidt's Charcoal + Magnesium Natural Deodorant for free from Chick Advisor for my honest review. I was excited to try the Schmidt's Charcoal + Magnesium Natural Deodorant as I’ve tried the vanilla rose before and really liked it however this one, not at all. The deodorant made me very itchy and irritated my armpits. I’m unsure if it’s the charcoal or the magnesium, or both? But I’ll not be purchasing this one.

Hated the smell and texture

I really prefer natural products for my underarms and lately have been looking for a good one, I so wanted to love this. However, I really, really hated it. Immediately upon first use the issue was the texture, quickly followed by smell.

The texture is soooo gritty. I don’t have particularly sensitive underarms, but I found this so rough on them that it was uncomfortable to use. I think men with hairy armpits (or ladies, sure) wouldn’t be bothered by this, but for my bare pits it was not comfortable at all.

That brings me to the smell. It was super sweet. Like ‘fake baby powder’ smell sweet. The smell is natural (I think), but it’s just so overpoweringly cloying and sweet that it smells like an awful perfume. I do have a strong nose, but it was just far too much.
