Grainy and irritating

This irritated my armpits so badly. It is also a very grainy texture and feels like rubbing a baking soda oil paste under your arms. The only stars are because it did a good job keeping odour away.

Decent for a natural deodorant, but doesn't go on

Schmidt's Rose + Black Pepper Natural Deodorant was ok. The fragrance would have been better had it not been so overpowering. That being said, I could still smell it before showing the next morning (smelled as though I had just applied).
I did feel protected while using the deodorant. No reapplying was needed, as I did not smell, nor did I feel any wetness.
The downfall is that this does not go on clear and left marks on a black tank top i was wearing.

Not for me

I was excited to try Schmidt’s Natural deodorant for free thanks to Chick Advisor and #trySchmidtsNatural, as it’s the first hemp seed oil natural deodorant I’ve seen. Unfortunately, after trying to the Rose + Black Pepper, I would have to say this isn’t the deodorant for me. I found this scent was very strong. As well, I found that the texture was sticky, gritty and felt like sandpaper when applying. The colour of the deodorant it white did also leave residue on my clothes.

Great Natural Deodorant

This is a really good natural deodorant especially for sensitive skin. I have pretty sensitive underarms and this product did not irritate it whatsoever. It also has a really fresh scent and it not too strong. I would highly recommend giving this product a try.

Free of aluminum AND baking soda!

This Rose + Black Pepper deodorant is my new favorite from Schmidt's! This sensitive skin formula, to me, is a step up from the baking soda containing ones (although I actually enjoy those ones too and the scents they come in). The only reason I prefer this sensitive skin formula more is due to its ability to glide along my underarms without causing irritation. I found the baking soda containing Schmidt's deodorants hard to apply to my underarms when trying to freely glide it along my skin, even after warming it up against my skin.

I find that this baking soda free deodorant warms up against my skin noticeably quicker and applies smoother making for a more comfortable experience. I'm better able to apply a thin layer to my underarms without experiencing white marks. Since this product's aim is to provide odour protection, a thin layer is all that's needed to leave behind a nice, fresh scent. The scent is on the spicy-floral side. My body chemistry typically doesn't do too well with spicy scents in perfumes that I've tried in the past but this was an exception (maybe due to the fact that the fragrance is all natural). I really enjoyed this fragrance combination and it wasn't as pungent/strong as I expected it to be. The scent is pleasant and not overbearing. This deodorant helps me feel fresh and clean throughout the day. I do sometimes need to reapply the deodorant but not often. I have now been using Schmidt's aluminum-free deodorant on a regular basis, however, I will use an antiperspirant if I will be engaging in an activity where wetness protection is really needed. I like how the formula leaves out ingredients like parabens, artificial fragrance, and even baking soda (as the deodorant doesn't feel so gritty). Schmidt's used some quality ingredients for this deodorant such as hemp seed oil (free of THC and CBD), magnesium, jojoba oil, vitamin E, and shea butter. I really like the craftsmanship that went into this Rose + Black Pepper Schmidt's deodorant! I give this product 5 out of 5 stars as it lacks the grittiness of a previous Schmidt's deodorant I've tried. I'd definitely buy this product!

Smooth & effective but strong scent

When I opened the package, the scent of rose was really strong so I wasn't sure I could handle it. Once it was on, it wasn't as bad as I thought. In the ingredients list, it has "natural fragrance" which I not a huge fan of. I prefer to know exactly what's making stuff smell especially since I have fairly sensitive skin. I've reacted to plenty of deodorants and skin lotions in the past. So far, I haven't had a reaction to this though it’s only be a couple days.

It went on smooth, wasn't chalky, and felt fresh most of the day. For a packaged deodorant, I'd say pretty good. I do like that it’s more natural and doesn’t have aluminum. It will be convenient for travel but I think overall I'll stick to making my own where I can tone down the fragrance. I’ll still try the Charcoal+Magnesium. I like the smell of that one much better.

Floral and refreshing

This product really works well keeping odours at bay, it provides a nice floral scent that is not too strong. I’m always weary with floral scents being too strong (I get headaches) but this one didn’t bother me

Works fine but not a fan of the smell

The product itself works fine and i like that It has no aluminum and is formulated w hemp seed oil which is proven to be a good hydrater and a calming affect. I am not a fan of the rose smell which is why i did not enjoy this product as much the charcoal and magnesium one. Would be interested to trying the sage or the lime one though.

I feel safe when using this deodorant because I feel that I can trust it. And the smell is great!

Really nice product!

I really like schmidts deoderants because they are made from natural ingredients and don't contain any toxins or metals that can be absorbed through my skin. This scent is particularly nice! I wasn't sure if I'd like it but after using it for a week I've really started to love it. Its a pretty soft scente - which is perfect - and it works super well! It lasts all day long. Would def recomend~!
