Texture issue

Not the best texture, sortof pastey/sticky but the scent is strong if you like high perfumed deodorant. Very peppery smell, sortof an odd combo

Did not like scent

I did not like this scent. The texture if the deodorant was very nice though. I had purchased this brand in the past and had really bad break outs in my armpits, but this stick was very moisturizing. Might consider trying another scent, otherwise, I'm sticking with Native.

Natural or Not - No Thanks!

I received Schmidt's Rose + Black Pepper Natural Deodorant for free in a product review club I am a member of. I received a full size to try and to review. This deodorant is all natural which is the only type I use. It claims to "help neutralize odor and keep you fresh, enriched with hemp seed oil. Free of aluminum salts, propylene glycol, parabens, and phthalates, and artificial fragrance. Luxurious, long-lasting scent made with natural fragrance—an elegant scent made with sharp and sheer notes of vetiver grass, paired with delicate tea and spicy fruit."

The packaging is very pretty, bright and fresh but upon reading the label I was instantly drawn to the fact it is made by Unilever, which is NOT a natural company at all. This was quite disappointing as I do strive not to use products from the big brands.

The scent is fresh and unique, very floral, almost too much. It reminded me very much of an older lady scent and reminded me of my grandmother; not a bad thing, but not a scent I want to wear, as a much younger woman.

I have been using natural deodorants for on and off for over ten years now, so I am familiar with them. It's taken me 10+ years to find a natural deodorant that works and I finally found that brand last year. Unfortunately, Schmidt's is not it.

What I liked about it - the packaging and the scent.
What I didn't like about it - the deodorant is very soft and grainy, it does not apply smooth. It applies very thick and leaves residue under the armpits. It was very 'waxy' feeling and did not wash off easily in the shower; it required several good scrubs to remove the waxy residue from my armpits. I did not appreciate the white streaks the deodorant left me with, on my clothes and later in the gym, pouring down my arms. I could not get through an 8-hour work day (administrative work, not active at all!) without needing to reapply it because I noticed I was starting to smell bad. At the gym, the deodorant would drip and leave huge white streaks down my leggings and all over the gym floor. It was quite embarrassing actually.

Trop de parfum

Il semble tout de même efficace ! Par contre le parfum est beaucoup trop puissant .. quand je porte un déo je ne veux pas qu’il me serve de parfum ..

Grainy and irritating

This irritated my armpits so badly. It is also a very grainy texture and feels like rubbing a baking soda oil paste under your arms. The only stars are because it did a good job keeping odour away.

Strongly Scented

This deodorant goes on really nice and is gentle on sensitive skin but unfortunately I found the rose scent too strong for me but if you like rose scented things then you will definitely like the deodorant.

Don't like Rose

I like the texture and feel of this sensitive formula better then the charcoal one. Its more soothing in a way... however i dislike the Rose scent. At first the smell is okay, even though I'm not a particular fan of rose scented products, but after wearing it for a few hours the rose scent fades and mixes with my body oddure and is just awful!

I do like the black pepper, it helps compliment the rose smell which I dont love. Everything seems about it is on point!

Bonus is the packaging I find very beautiful

I put this off for a while because I was really trying to make this product work. This is by far the worst deodorant I've ever used. I love going to the gym - this did not work for me. After a few minutes of HIIT workouts this product balled up and would leave residues all over the floor - it was mortifying. Not to mention it is so heavily fragranced that it gave me a headache. I typically do not have BO so I cannot comment on if it reduced my smell - but it sure did have alot of fragrance. In terms of effectiveness I would say it does not hold up during an intense workout. Will it hold up for everyday use? Possibly.
