Belle découverte

J’ai eu la chance d’essayer le déodorant à la rose et vanille et je trouve qu’il est très différent des déodorant que j’utilise habituellement. J’adore l’odeur, mais la texture me laisse perplexe. Ils disent de laisser quelques seconde coller à la peau pour qu’il s’étende mieux, mais il reste quand même granuleux.

Smells good!

First of all I was worried the combination of this deodorant would be overwhelming. It I honestly loved it! The rose wasn’t too strong or “floral” and the vanilla was a nice subtle addition. I personally loved this deodorant but found I had to constantly keep applying it in order to make sure it kept working which I didn’t love. Be careful as well if you react to things easily to look for the sensitive line instead. I do love that this company has provided a clean and natural deodorant! #gotitfree

Liked the Scent!

I was so excited to try a Schmidt's deodorant for free as part of the Chick Advisor Review Club, because I love all things natural and cruelty free and this brand is both! After previously trying the Lavender+Sage scent, which I enjoyed, I was curious how things would go with the Rose+Vanilla variety and I'm happy to report I loved the scent. It's quite strong, so I wouldn't recommend it for someone who is sensitive to smells, but for me I loved it and I loved smelling it on myself. I'm also really happy that it's aluminum free (keep in mind this is not an antiperspirant, just a deodorant). I think personally if I had to choose, I'd still go with the Lavender scent because it's a bit more reserved, but I actually looked forward to putting on this deodorant with the new scent because I do enjoy it. I will say however, just because of the price point of this brand, I don't know if I can purchase it again. Other natural brands have much more accessible pricing for a similar product with the same natural and cruelty-free elements, and I love what Schmidt's is doing, but not enough to pay $9 for something that still has plastic waste involved (I'd pay more for something with compostable/biodegradable packaging. My other critique/comment is that the texture is something to get used to. Because it has less preservatives, it's more solid so you have to hold it on your skin to warm it first before rolling, which takes some getting used to, and it has a more granular texture than standard deodorant sticks. I didn't mind this, but for someone trying a natural product for the first time, it might be a hurdle. Note that it does go on clear, but I wouldn't say I'd necessarily trust it with my nicest black dress. Thank you to Chick Advisor and Schmidt's for letting me try it out!

I was interested in trying this deoderant as it is:
-All natural and vegan
-Contain no aluminum, parabens or artificial fragrances

Here is my honest review:
The rose + vanilla scent is very sweet and floral. Its a bit strong for my liking. It did keep me staying mostly fresh all day (but not so much after working out). For a natural deoderant I was pretty impressed by its effectiveness.
I did not however like the texture of the rose + vanilla deoderant. It left a grainy feeling on my skin which I did not care for.

Subtle floral and fresh scent

I absolutely love how fresh and floral this deodorant is. It also has a creamy aroma, which I find rounds out the scent nicely. It’s free of parabens and phthalates, and I’m so happy that there are no artificial fragrances or aluminium.

Impressed but not sold on the scent.

I have to say this deodorant really lasted without re-applying. I tried the rose vanilla scent and oh boy is it ever rosy! If you want your armpits to smell like a rose garden than look no further. I’m really happy with the “clean” ingredients and as I have very sensitive skin that was important to me. I have experienced no rash or irritation of any kind. It doesn’t apply as smoothly as other products I’ve tried but it does last longer!

Great smell

When I got this I was so excited. After becoming allergic to the aluminum, I found it hard to find good deodorant. The rose vanilla smell is great not too strong. It goes on smooth and lasts all day. I did find there was an odd smell the next day, but nothing a shower doesn't fix :).

Amazing fragrance that doesn't last long

The fragrance is really soothing and is one that I absolutely love. Sadly it doesn't last very long so I'm not sure as to whether the deodorant is particularly effective in the long term. Furthermore,the deodorant texture is a bit tough and doesn't flow smoothly when rolling on the skin (it has rough bumps) - it's a minor issue in practical use but something to keep in mind nonetheless

It works!

I was given the chance to try this natural deodorant for free. I am so glad I did, because i had given up on natural deodorants. This one actually works! Not only does it keep you smelling good, but the deodorant has a nice subtle scent as well. The only down side is that it goes on thick, so make sure you don't over do it!
