In a pinch!

If you're looking for a decent temporary root touch up, this product does the job.

The coverage is decent for the price; I find you have to go over it a couple times if you have stubborn greys. The colour quality is fair. If you have long hair like me you might find the brush a bit cumbersome as the small bristles get stuck if you don't tie your back and flat to your head while applying the product.

Compared to the sprays and bigger brush applicators on similar products, this gives the control I prefer to focus on isolated areas as well.

Good product that I’ve recieved

I recieved this product in the mail as a sample. I would recommend this product to anyone ! It works well and it doesn’t get hard once it is in your hair.

It covered the greys

Because it is temporary I made sure I didn’t use it on a gym day

I was nervous that during a super sweat session at the gym it would start to come off when I rubbed my head

I found while it did cover the greys my hair, maybe because I have a lot of little fine hairs would get caught in the brush and it left my hair feeling a little sticky.

It did match very well. And I didn’t struggle with application as I’ve ysed hair wand products on my daughters hair to add colour

Not a favourite

I received this root touch up from Schwarzkopf through the wonderful Chick Advisor and I was truly not not very impressed. It left my hair feeling sticky and the coverage only lasted for a very short time before starting to flakeoff. I felt that if you came too close to the root with the applicator it looked spotty on the scalp. I would not recommend this root touch up from Schwarzkopf. There are other products on the market that are superior in quality.

Not my favorite

The Schwarzkopf hair mascara was not my favorite root touch up product. I thought it was going to be quick and easy but it turned out the be frustrating as my hair would get caught in it. I found I wasted a lot of product as my hair would get caught and instead of being just in the roots it would be all through my hair. It got a little easier as I kept using it but it was not a quick process. The colour was a great match and the actual product stayed in very well. The only down fall was the application. I didn’t hate it but wouldn’t recommend this for a quick fix product.

Good product but has downfalls

The idea is fantastic but it is not as practical and it’s difficult to match an exact color. I’m not sure to what extent this is meant to be used but onnlike one hair whi cares and not enough to cover a ton of greys

Meh, not in love.

I have a handful of gray hairs at my temples which are particularly visible when I put my hair up. Of course they are wirey and prone to sticking up at odd angles so I have been using my brow gel on them for quite some time. That being said, after using this hair mascara for several weeks, I prefer the results of my brow gel.

As other reviewers have commented application is a bit tedious. The size and shape of the brush do not really allow for you to target specific hairs. If you were doing an overall root touch up I suppose this would be preferable but for a few hairs here and there it isn't ideal. I found the bristles on the brush to be a bit too short to truly coat the hairs, causing you to have to go over them a few times.

The product does take a few moments to dry after application. The final result was a good colour match to my hair but it was lacking the hold that my brow gel provides (not that this product made that claim, but I am comparing it to what I had been using). Finally, the product says it will last until your next shampoo but I did not find this to be the case. I wash my hair every third day and was certainly reapplying this product every morning.

Overall I was not super impressed and would not repurchase. I received this product free to try from the Chickadvisor Product Review Club.

Good in a fix

This product is great if you are in a fix but would not be a short term solution I would rely on. I found that I did not enjoy the texture in my hair. It was a bit hard and crunchy when it dried. In a fix it would be a great solution but not something I would use daily until my next hair apt.

Meh, it's alright.

I recently tried this hair mascara that I received for free from Chick Advisor. I was given dark brown as that's the closest to my colour. At first I was afraid that the picture of dark brown on the box was the actual colour, thankfully it wasn't. The picture was much lighter and warmer than the actual colour. Phew! The colour match was pretty well bang on for my cool toned dark brown hair.

The application was a bit of a pain. Unless you separated your white/gray strands from the rest you basically had no option but to colour all the hair visible. I had to lift and colour multiple layers to get the coverage I needed. Taking that into consideration it was difficult to not over apply. Even with sufficient drying time in areas where I succeeded in not over applying, the colour still bled when running my fingers through my hair.

Knowing the average cost of this product, in my opinion, it's not worth it. The tube is only slightly larger than the average regular mascara tube. If you have to apply to multiple layers like I did to get the right amount of coverage, the tube would be done in no time.

If you only have a couple of gray hairs this product might work for you or if you require very light coverage. With the amount of coverage I need it wouldn't be feasible for me to buy it and the colour bleed is probably the top reason why I wouldn't.

Mascara pour cheveux efficace ou non

En fait malheureusement, je n’ai pas été très impressionné par le nouveau produit qui est un mascara pour cheveux qui permet de cacher la repousse des cheveux surtout lorsqu’ils sont teintnou la repousse sont des cheveux blanc. J’ai bien reçu celui pour les personnes ayant les cheveux bruns par contre la couleur brune varie d’une personne à l’autre. Alors, pour ma part il était beaucoup trop foncé donc le résultat final jurait beaucoup et ce même après avoir suivi chacune des étapes recommandée pour l’application du produit. Il est aussi assez difficile à appliquer sur les cheveux pour cacher le plus possible toutes les repousses et la quantité idéale à appliquer est difficile à bien mesurer et on se retrouve rapidement avec une quantité beaucoup trop importante ce qui nuit aussi au résultat final escompté.
