Not for me

When I received my Schwarzkopf Hair Mascara I was really excited to try it. I was almost immediately disappointed. It goes on easily enough but my roots are close enough to my natural color that I really only needed to cover the stray grays. It did cover but it was hard to use a minimal amount of product. It comes out of your hair really easily, which can also be a bad thing. Every time I touched my hair, I had color on my hands. In my opinion, this isn't a product that I would spend money on.

Worth it if you have one grey hair

Hair mascara reminds me of being a kid and swiping neon colours across my locks on Halloween, so I was excited to try this product on my sad grey hairs that poke out when I am in between dye jobs. However, this product did not fulfill my expectations. I have several grey hairs - I would say between 3-5 sections across my part that have at least a couple hairs in each. To cover them all, I had to apply this over and over again, and by the end, it seemed greasy and not very natural looking. I typically use the Schwarzkopf spray coverup and that one takes me two seconds to quickly spray over my hair and I'm done. So I'll be sticking with the quicker, less sticky option.

I got this free from chickadvisor to try out and review.
I got this this morning and was so excited to try it, my roots are showing! So i opened it up and it smelled weird. Like cheap makeup, i ignored that and did my root around my face while my hair was in a ponytail. I went to work and worked hard, my medications cause me to have hyper hydrosis, and the sweating began... As did brown lines down my cheeks.... Fail. The idea of the product is great, for the right crowd, i am not a part of the crowd.
Ease of use though, 200% easy.

Good quick fix

With a few random grey hair here and there, I find the Schwarzkopf Hair Mascara medium brown a perfect match to my hair colour. However, as a mom of very young kids, I found the application process tedious and time consuming as I had to look for the grey hair and then apply to each strand individually. Since it’s a mascara type brush, you have to be careful not to put too much otherwise it’s easy for clumps to form. The colour also washes off the next day if you style or brush your hair so it doesn’t usually last me til my next hair wash (I wash my hair every 2-3 days). With that said, I would still recommend it as a quick fix, especially if you need to cover up those grey hairs before a party!

Hmmm I don’t think this works!

Definitely won’t be buying this product. It has its good points. Nice packaging and easy applicator and washes off easy if on your skin. That is where it stops. It feels greasy and slimy when it goes on your hair. I had to go over several times to cover as well. Makes my hair look dirty and no girl wants that.

It can cover light grayness but difficult to use

I received this product for free and review through the Chick Advisor NEW Product Review Club®. I started getting strands of gray over the last couple of years - not much but a few strands here and there. So I thought this hair mascara might do the trick in hiding it. I found the wand difficult to use and the hairs were getting stuck everywhere on the wand. Then it got on my hands. The application was not as easy as I thought. I also wished it was a semi permanent for a couple of days so that I didn't have to do it every day. I wash my hair everyday so I don't know if it was get on my pillow cases or not. The regular price is a too much for me. I wouldn't buy this if it wasn't on a big sale.

Convenient to use but the product transfers

I was able to try Schwarzkopf's hair mascara for free in exchange for my honest review. The premise is a great idea and would be suitable for anyone who has a few grey hairs they'd like covered. The colour I was sent was a great match for my hair and it was easy to use. It did provide coverage, however I had to use a lot of the product in order to do so. The product also transferred and was easily wiped off. I am not likely to purchase this product again due to its price and the effectiveness concerns I mentioned. However, I do think this is a great idea and has a lot of potential.

Good for Travel

This is a handy little item! I've tried using it on a few occasions to cover the small amount of grey at my roots, and even the grey hairs in my brows. It works really well. I wouldn't say it does an amazing job, but it does well to hide the grey hairs between colours. I would definately take this on vacation as it would be perfect to use when you can't dye your greys properly. Good product!
