I wanted to like this product but...

I will start my review with the following statement. My product may have frozen at some point... It was delivered on a cold February day in Ottawa and sat in my mailbox until I could get home from work and retrieve it.

I found this product to be difficult to use and ineffective. It didn't spread properly on the hair and remained clumpy. It didn't really cover anything and actually just made my hair look like there was something weird stuck in it. This lack of functionality may have been as a result of the product being left in the cold but I would not buy this product or recommend that anyone else buy it.

Schwarzkopf Hair Mascara

I believe in total honesty and transparency when writing a review. I tend to feel bad when I am not a "fan" of a product I so graciously was able to try for free. However, I take my reviews seriously and with all due respect, here is my review for the Schwarzkopf Hair Mascara: I have thick, curly hair so the mascara wand was next to impossible to get through my hair, my grays are mostly at the sides and top of my hair, but even when I managed to get a little glide through, my hair would get tangled and cause a lot of frizz and get stuck. For this reason I would definitely not recommend this Schwarzkopf Hair Mascara to those individuals with curly hair! The medium brown was a bit dark I found also, but anything is better than those pesky grays!! I found the price to be a bit high for the product but, also believe that if someone with straight hair was able to brush it through with ease and get that gray coverage then that alone makes it worth it!! As always I am extremely grateful to be able to try a new product. I would recommend this new product to individuals that DO NOT have curly hair as I do believe their experience would be better than what my experience was.

Unexpected results

I received the product and tried it right away. I tried it on my dry hair, it made clumps and it never really dried. When I passed my hand through my hair, the residue stayed behind on my fingertips. I combed my hair after letting it dry 10 minutes, it was still moist and clumpy, leaving residue on the comb and flaking chunks in the sink. It didn't cover up my white hairs too well. I had to apply more than once, trying to hide the white hairstrands. Not a product I would use again. Not satisfied with the results.

Not worth it

I received this product for free as part of the product review club. As someone who has more and more greys appearing every month, I was very excited to try this product. It seem like it would be perfect for those touchups between appointments. The colour that I chose matched my hair fairly well. However, I found that the product went on very thickly, and left my hair hard and stiff. It did not look natural at all, and it was very obvious where it had been applied. I have curly hair, and maybe it would have been better for someone with straight hair.
Also, to do my entire section of roots, it would have taken a long time, and a lot of the product. Perhaps it would be better if you just had a few strands to touch up.
Overall, I was quite disappointed in the product and I would not recommend it to others.

Idea is great but the product is not good

I love the idea behind this product but I didn’t like how it turned out. The colour was great and so is the price, I think the price is very reasonable, something everyone can afford no matter your budget. What I didn’t like is the fact that the application process was messy, smelly, clumpy and it made the hair oily. Maybe a different style brush on the wand would work better. I would buy this product if those things I mentioned were resolved. Like I said I totally loveeee the idea behind this. Thank you for letting me try this free product #schwarzkopfhairmascara

not the best product

I wasn't super impressed with this product at all. I felt like it did an okay job at covering up grown out roots and grey hairs but the lasting power wasn't great at all. the product seemed to smudge and get on my fingers if i touched my hair accidentally. i also wasn't a fan of the texture or the price.

Very disappointed with this product

I received a sample the other day and was so excited to try it. The colour (brown) was a perfect match for my hair colour and I appreciated that it didn’t have a strong smell as other touch up products do. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. I found it almost impossible to cover my gray hair on the back of my scalp and the wand often tangled with the strands that I was covering. Another negative was that it took too long to cover my roots as you have to do it a small strand at a time. Also I washed my hair the day after applying the mascara and after towel drying my wet hair I noticed that some of the colour had transferred onto my towel.
In all I was disappointed with this product. I will go back to my L’Oreal root touch up spray which I love because the ease of application and coverage.

Pas convaincu de la nécessité de ce produit

Je ne suis pas convaincu de l'efficacité et de l'utilité de Schwarzkopf Hair Mascara autrement que pour dépanner entre deux colorations. Il est facile à appliquer et couvre bien les cheveux gris pour une courte durée. Son prix est trop élevé pour son utilisation unique par rapport à une coloration permanente. Je ne recommande pas ce produit. J'ai reçu gratuitement ce produit pour tester. #ChickAdvisor

didn't work for me

my dyed hair colour is a reddish brown, so from the shades they offered i chose the medium brown and it was just a color match fail. i tried it with the mascara looking applicator brush and put around my hairline where the grey/white always comes in first. the shades just didn't match and i didn't really like putting a product in my hair that too closey feels like i'm putting eye mascara in my hair. i don't even want to imagine what would happen if i'm outside and its raining.

Schwarzkopfs Hair Mascara Not For Me

Hair mascara for covering those grays, looks like a tube of mascara with a similar brush. Offered in many typical hair shades. No instructions are included but you can go online to get them. All your supposed to do is grab that gray hair and brush it on. I found it took too long, guess I have too many stands to cover. The harsh strands of gray did not cover at all for me. My hair did darken up but looked stiff. The smell was ok, nothing harsh. Once applied it dried fast but I combed it and my comb looked dirty afterwards. It washed out fine and I was glad to wash it out. My hair felt aweful. I would not buy this product or recommend it. I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review.
