Disappointed
I got this free to try from ChickAdvisor. I have never left a bad review before because I usually like the products I try. But this wasn't doing it for me. The concept is amazing. But in practice, it's messy. I don't want to wipe up dots of black off my hairline and scalp. My suggestion to the company would be to try something like a sponge applicator for more precise application.
It almost feels as if it's spray paint!
I received the Black colored root retoucher (Schwarzkopf) cover spray to trial. When I sprayed it onto my hair, it stained my fingers quite easily. However, it did do it's job by turning the grey hair pieces super black - probably more "blacker" than my usual natural black hair color. The product did as stated on the spray bottle and washed away in 1 shampoo.
Unexpected results!

Tried out Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher. Thinner hair - made it look fuller. Colour was a little off but nothing is perfect! Will try again in the future.
Not sure I'd recommend this product!
I was excited to try this because I hate dying all the time just to cover the few grey hairs that seem to pop out before I am ready for the next complete dye. The product covered the grey just fine but if you touch the area at all the colour transfers to your hands even after it’s had plenty of time to dry. It also made my hair feel crunchy (for lack of a better word). I also found that you couldn’t really control where the spray was going. Not too happy about this product at all.
An Okay Product if You need a Retouch Desparately
I have received this product for free as being a ChickAdvisor review club member.
I have tried this product for a few times but I still not able to quite handle it in a good way. I don't know how it is going to be the right amount and how to apply it in a way that will look natural. Therefore, quite often, in my mirror I found that the retoucher did not look natural along my hair line.
And finally I looked okay and I went out and I found that if I sort of touch my hair, ran through my hair (you know girls sometime love to do that), I will have dark marks left on my finger. So obviously probably the colour started to fade out after a few hours. If I hadn't notice that it left marks on my finger, if I touch somewhere else (like my clothes or my face), it might leave marks on them as well (I did not attempt to try to do that and see if it indeed did that).
I guess with practice this might be a good product for some people and if you desperately need something to apply before you get out of the door and you only have 10 minutes of your time, this might be able to help you.
Still Undecided...
I was very happy to have tried this for free through ChickAdvisor. I have to say, having used it a couple of times, I'm still undecided. I did recommend it, as I think it would be great on less stubborn grey hairs and possibly for people who are big on hair products as most of my issues stemmed from application
The concept is great- a quick and relatively easy way to touch your roots up between colors. I say relatively easy as it is a spray, and I personally couldn't figure out if closer meant that color hit your hair better, or if that is what caused the spray back (resulting in tiny spots on my hands!). That and I wasn't sure do I need to comb it through or assume that it was fine. I assume the box comes with some sort of instructions. I have stubborn greys...so the color didn't stick to some of them, again I wasn't sure if it was the application itself or the hairs.
Finally the more you sprayed - the weirder the smell....
All in all, I guess if I could master how to apply it would be great as an in-between fix.
Does as it says with a couple of sprays
CONS: The colour transfers everywhere, so make sure you have some alcohol to clean up your forehead, ears, and hands. (If you love touching your hair, I would avoid using this product where your hands tend to roam). The spray for me wasn't accurate and full coverage until you've sprayed the area a couple of times. If you're covering greys in the back, make sure to have a friend help you.
PROS: Does as it says and covers roots, and maintains colour if wet slightly. It is truly removed once you shampoo your hair
*An alternative use for this product is to darken roots of a hair colour that is too bright until you are safe to colour your hair again.

Not A Fan Of This Hair In A Can
I received a can of black Root Retoucher to try courtesy of Chick Advisor.
The black did not match my hair well, so that may have exacerbated my experience, but I found this product extremely unnatural looking. Aside from it not matching, wherever you spray it then looks completely matte, which then doesn't blend in with the rest of your (more shiny) hair.
The product was also messy. It comes with no instructions on the can about distance, etc so you'll inevitably end up with some on your face, which looks like soot. When I brush my fingers through my hair, black dust comes away on my fingertips.
Sadly, I don't find this any better than the novelty spray hair you can get at Halloween.
