It's Ok - But Don't Think I'll Buy it Again

I've tried the Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher about 5 times now and am getting the same results every time.

The coverage is great! I do have a few sparing greys that I have to retouch more than the normal spray to ensure the same colour as my coloured hair.

The only thing that I do not like is the few drops that fall at the end of the spraying. Being that the spray is a coloured dye, I would have dark spots on my hairline, which would be hard to take off. Was not a fan of that.

Will Do In A Pinch

I love the gold and black packaging for this product, but unfortunately that's about all I liked. While it did a decent job of covering up some grey hair, the overall experience was not what I was hoping for. The spray leaves a fine cloud in the air and the color appeared smoky and artificial. I would use it again only in a pinch. I would rather wait until I could permanently color my hair.

Great product for people who have no vision problems

With all the warnings: not to get it in your eyes keeping it a certain distance etc...l was a little reluctant to try it. I have vision problems so this was a challenge for me. Yes its a great cover up, washes off easily and definitely hides the grey's ( a great temporary cover up). So if you miss and accidentily spray some on your face or touch your hair before it dries...don't worry it's a snap to clean up.
Wasn't crazy about the smell. It does the job it intents to do however people with low vision would have a difficult time using this product.

Not for me.

Unfortunately, I just didn't like this product. From trying to find the 'hidden' directions on the bottle to the splotches of dye left on my face, I was frustrated throughout the whole experience. The application is not very user-friendly. In my case I mostly need coverage around the perimeter of my face (just above the forehead and on the sideburns) which was practically impossible to achieve without ending up looking like a leopard. I will say that I did like the coverage and colour of the product when I sprayed it on the crown of my head - an opaque rich chocolatey brown; however, it was a very matte finish, like a dry shampoo, and I prefer the glossy natural look. Also, I wasn't comfortable wearing this out of the house - it did rub off on my fingers when I touched my hair. I will stick to Root Touch Up by Nice 'n' Easy/Clairol - haven't found anything that beats it yet. [#gotitfree by ChickAdvisor for review]

SCHWARZKOPF ROOT RETOUCHER: to like or to dislike?

I have received SCHWARZKOPF ROOT RETOUCHER through our wonderful Product Review Club. I have used it several times but I am still unable to decide if I like it or not. Yes it does cover your roots, but it’s only easy to apply on your hair part. Imagine applying dark brown spray paint on your hair. That’s exactly what this is. It leaves a dry dusty residue that brushes off, so avoid touching your hair once applied. On the other hand, covering your part gives a fuller hair look, so that’s a plus. But honestly, I am not too impressed and would rather use a touch up hair color.

Not For Me

I tested out the retoucher a couple times but spraying this on my hair just isn't for me. I don't have enough gray to need this. This isn't a bad product just not a step I want to add into my routine.

Powdery

#gotitfree I found the product to be extremely dark on my hair. It didn’t cover very well. I also found trying to wash it out room a lot to get it out . It left a dark powdery residue on my scalp for days.

Not as good as the others

So I received this for a review and Unfortunately this product isn’t as good as the others on the market (L’Oréal /Marc ANTHONY). I had to spray a few times
To cover and trying to get at the front of my hairline - it gets all over my forehead. The others have a smaller spray and I can direct the spray better. It also really drips a lot- had to clean off a lot of drips

Good colour

I was so thrilled to be chosen by Chick Advisor to review the new Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher. I found the packaging to be very appealing and the colour to be very close to my own colour. However, I am not totally pleased with the type of sprayer that is used. If you do not use the full spray it drips and you truly need to use a towel when applying. Because the width of the spray is very wide, I found that some of the colour sprayed onto my highlights which then covered them somewhat (until the next wash). I think with continued use, I would be able to control the spray a bit better, but with that being said, this would make using this product a little time consuming. As for the colour coverage it was good and lasted until my next wash without issue but you could tell where the retouch was done as the colour was very dull. Overall, the ease of use would be the biggest issue with the review of the Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher.

La couleur est belle, mais elle tache mes doigts

À première vue, le produit se distribue d'une belle façon, la couleur est belle et se fond avec la couleur de mes cheveux, le gris est bien caché, mais... dès que je mets les doigts dans mes cheveux, je me retrouve avec les doigts complètement tachés. C'est très désagréable et, pour cette raison, je ne recommande pas ce produit.
