Great product for in between hair colourings

I used the dark brown colour of the root toucher. I was surprised when it came that it was similar to a hairspray product. I was worried that my hair this time when previous coloured was a lighter brown than my usual dark brown. However, when using it, it blended with my hair colour no problem and effectively covered my grey hairs. It was easy to use and gave great coverage before I had it coloured again. I would use it again. When it got on my skin it easily came off and just stayed on my hair where I needed it.

I have been really looking forward to try this product, because I have VERY resistant grey roots, and have to dye darker than is best for my age now, (56), and skin tone, but #gotitfree makes it all that much more fun to try!
The colour of spray dye was dark brown. Application was easy, and it covered very quickly and well. I wore gloves and just moved fingers around after spraying to help with temples, and forehead growth. Any overspray was easily removed with only a tiny bit of soap.
I was VERY impressed with the overall coverage, and it's been a few days now, and it's still not faded. I was worried about staining on clothing, etc, but none found. Bonus! That could be embarrassing.

Easy retouch up

I got the Schwardzkopf root retouch up for free to try out. It's the easier thing to do when you need a quick fixer upper before any event. All you have to do is spray on and you are done...it's so easy. ..anyone can do it. #gotitfree.

Great for "in between"

I have never tried these root touch ups as I really did not think they would work well but this one proved me wrong. The hardest part? Finding the actual directions ( hidden under the label) But once I read the directions I decided to try it right away as I always seem to have grey hairs showing within a few weeks of colouring. The spray goes on fast and is ice cold for some odd reason, so prepare yourself, but it covered well and went on easily. It takes a few tries to learn how to apply it evenly but it looks great once you are done. It only lasts until you wash it out so I would only use it if I was going out, not as an everyday thing but it definitely covers the roots well. I would buy it again!

not for me

I was able to try Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher free through Chick Advisor.
It does what it promises. It covered my gray roots. But for my hair it made it so heavy and greasy. My hair is fine. For thicker I'm sure it would work great.

Cover those roots!

I was able to try Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher free through Chick Advisor. My roots are predominantly grey and very visible against my dark hair.

The product is simple to use, just spray on like dry shampoo. It did cover the grey but left my hair matte with shine. The spray lasted all day.

This is not a long-term solution to grey hair, as it does wash out easily, but it's a great product for those times when you want something quick and easy to help combat those nasty roots.

Great job, but only good for quick, short-term fix

I used this product as I got it free to give my opinion on it.

It works well to cover grey hair. I did get some on my scalp as the nozzle is a little hard to direct. But, it was easily removed with baby wipes or makeup wipes. It stayed rather well until next day when I washed it out.

Trial day #2 I gave it more of a challenge. I sprayed in morning and did a quick touchup in the evening. This time I got very little on my scalp. That night I went out n I sweated. Uh oh...noticed some brown on my forehead, but it was minimal. Next morning there was still 75% coverage. I didn't wash my hair. By that evening it was 60% coverage. By next morning, it was maybe 25% coverage and time to wash.

Would I buy it again? Honestly, probably not. The times I would use it, I usually am going somewhere to sweat and, unfortunately, that is not it's strong suit.

Good coverage!

I liked how easy it was to use and also the colour matching to my dark brown hair. The scent was pleasant and not overwhelming. I didn’t like that it washed out so quickly however. I’m not sure I’d purchase in future.

Having never tried a root retoucher I was very skeptical about trying it. It instantly covered the grey very quick and effectively.

It took a bit to get comfortable using the spray but after a few times it was easy to use. I would buy this product to use between visits to the salon.
