It is worth a purchase!

I have been using this Schwarzkopf Dark Brown root retoucher for almost 2 weeks. My opinion is this is a very good product but could be a little better.

At first, the smell of the spray was a bit too much and a little like a bad cleaner smell. That smell din't last long and definitely does not make your hair smell that way so that was great. The spray goes on a bit too fast no matter how lightly I try to press on the nozzle to spray it.It goes on the hair in lines instead of a wider spray . This would be great if the spray wasn't such a straight shot at the hair and was more of a wider mist to get more of the area at once.After seeing lines on the hair i used my fingers to rub the color around, which does help spread this out a bit and makes the lines go away so this is good.
The color is a bit lighter than expected for a dark brown but this is actually a good thing. You can now control the amount of color better and not have one spot look oversaturated. I do wish the spray was wider so it was easier to hit all areas I was aiming at. If this nozzle was changed to be like an aerosol nozzle on hairspray, I think it might be better but this would need to be tested.
There were spots around the counter and on things behind me after I sprayed my hair. not many but they were there so this spray does have a far reach and can end up leaving dots everywhere if you miss the hair a little.It's an easy cleanup though so not really too much of a big deal there. Just don't wear a white shirt you plan to wear out before spraying your hair!
After rubbing this through my hair it was a little effort to wash off my hands the first time. I think my hands were dry though. the next time I made sure I lotioned my hands and now it was much easier to wash off completely.
This root retoucher also makes the hair look thicker and that is definitely great! I also noticed that it did not change the texture of my hair at all. It felt the same, not dry in anyway. I have tried other color sprays and it would act like a dry shampoo and make my hair feel really dry and harsh. this product doesn't do this at all. So my hair felt healthy and looked great!

Good Value

I was given the Schwarzkopf® Root Retoucher™ in Dark Brown to try by ChickAdvisor for free in exchange for my honest review. I thought the product was easy to use and worked well covering greys, however I did find it messy, and hard to accurately spray a small area. It's a great product for a quick fix in between trips to the salon. I would probably buy it again.

Covers greys

I used this product to cover greys in between hair dyes. It worked as advertised to cover greys and blend with the current hair colour. It washed out in the shower easily.

It does exactly as advertised

I was pleasantly surprised that the color went on as easily and evenly as it did. I did find it a little difficult to manipulate around my temples but a little soap and water easily removed any excess from my skin. The color blended seamlessly and I would recommend the product for those times when you just can't get a real touch up done.

Might use it again...

I do get roots a few weeks after I dye so I thought it would be good to give this a try. It was easy enough to use and I suppose it did the job it was supposed to do. Worth trying but undecided if I will again.

This is a very unique product. Not what I was expecting at all.
It worked better than I ever expected.
It reminds me of a dry shampoo with a very huge bonus colour in it. I would definitely buy this product.

SCHWARZKOPF ROOT RETOUCHER

I received the Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher Dark Brown from the Chick Advisors to review.
At first I was afraid that I would spray the dye on my roots and it would spray everywhere and stain sink and skin. I oversprayed at first but found that it wiped off my skin and did not stain. I was pleasantly surprised of how much it covered up the new gray spots. The more I used it the more comfortable I became with using this product. I am actually quite impressed and will definitely be keeping this product as my go to for my root touch ups. I would highly recommend this product.

Schwarzopf root retoucher

I received this for free @chickadvisor #gotiitfree to try in dark brown. I was please with the grey covering but the brown seamed a little fad color no shining like my regular hair. But over all worked great. Stain a bit my hands when applying but dry very fast. Would recommand for someone who is in a hurry to go out and cover grey hair fast.

Works well!

I am pretty happy with this product. It covered my roots and greys to the point where you couldn't tell at all! The colour also matched my hair colour well. My only issue is it is messy and splatters everywhere while you spray it. #gotitfree
