This temp spray is terrible . It sprays all over everything even when you spray at quite a far distance . It comes off with the slightest touch. I can’t use it AT ALL without worrying that I have hair dye all over me and my clothing (brunette). Have used L’Oréal a lot and it is amazing and amazingly different !

Root and face retoucher

I was thrilled to receive the dark brown Schwarzkopf Root Retouched #gotitfree from Chickadvisor to try. That was where the excitement ended. First of all there were no instructions on the can except to shake well. I made a mess because the nozzle does not spray properly and I got it on my skin and it was difficult to get off. I would not recommend this item.

I had such high hopes for this

I was so excited to get this in the mail, I'm always looking for easy ways to cover up my pesky grays. Firstly there are no directions on the bottle, the delivery system sucks it splattered all over the back of my door and face. I went out after I applied it and I had black smears on my forehead and nose. Total fail.

Not for me!!

#gotitfree I’d like to thank ChickAdvisor and Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher for giving me the opportunity to #tryRootRetoucher out. Unfortunately I really didn’t care for it for several different reasons. I wish it would have came with better instruction on how to use the product properly, I had to go on line and look up what other’s where doing just to get a good idea of what I should do. For example it doesn’t say if your hair should be clean, or not been washed for a few days before applying it like other hair colouring products tell you. You don’t get any gloves with it and I had it all over my hands, face and all over my bathroom, It doesn’t say if the can should be shaken before you use it, or even how far from your hair you should have the can before you start to spray it. I wasn't sure if I should do short burst of it or spray it on like you would a hair spray. Once I had it on it did cover my gray roots to a point, but I found it made my shiny hair looked like it had spray paint on it, it looked awful, dull, and dirty looking. Even my family thought it made my hair look worse not better. Another thing I really didn’t like about it is the fact that it never seemed to completely dry. I applied it around 7:30pm and twenty-four hours later it was still coming off on my hands. When I washed it out it made another mess of my shower, there was hair dye every where and it was still coming out of my hair the next time I washed it. Do to all of these reasons I won’t be buying it for myself and I also wouldn’t recommended it to you to #CreateYourStyle

My experience was not a good one

Even though I #gotitfree this is something I've been looking forward to trying for a while. Unfortunately, from the time I applied to test this product to the time I actually got i (there was a long break over xmas), I stopped dying my hair!

I thought I should still give it a go to see how it reacts on greys. Because I have short hair I had a lot of them in regrowth. Even though it did cover most of them, it seemed to struggle with the pure white ones and I didn't like how paint-like it was.

To me, it seems like they just rebranded that old 'cover-paint' aerosol they tried to convince balding men to use. Innovative, but it doesn't really work any better now than it did then. There are a couple of massive problems that would make me not want to use this.

1. Rather than being a mist like spray, it often threw globs of paint out that then dripped onto my clothing. Being a good aim with an aerosol I hadn't expected to have to change clothes and now one of my nice pink shirts is ruined. In the wash, the stains might be fading (or maybe it's my imagination), but they aren't gone after one wash.

2. It never full dries. Your hair feels heavily hair sprayed while wearing it, but the real problem is no-one can touch that part of your hair. So if you have a partner who touches through your hair, he's going to stain his hands. It will also stain your pillow if the root coverage part you applied to sits on there at all.

3. For me, it absolutely destroyed my hair, leaving it very dry and uncomfortable through several washes.

I think it would work ok for those who only have small roots and want to use it briefly for one night, but I don't think I'd use it again and I don't really think it's suitable for regular use.

What a mess

I tried this product to cover up my roots. This product is aweful. It splattered all over my face, arm, and shirt.
I got more on everything else but my hair.
There has got to be a better delivery method than the spray. I tried the second day spraying it onto a brush to apply it that way but it was just too messy.
