Does cover grey, works in a pinch.
This product does work. It dries like a powder so you have to be careful not to use too much. I have very bright red hair so the colour available did not match my colour, however it did blend in with my natural colour to create an ombre effect, and did cover the grey. I don't wash my hair daily (only twice a week tops) and it did last for a few days. I was worried that it would come off on my pillow but it didn't. It does flake when you style your hair so be sure to do your makeup last so you can wash any excess off your forehead. It didn't however flake down once my hair was styled. If they bring it out in more colours I would for sure purchase it again.

Too sticky, messy, and stiff
I really wanted to like this because it did a pretty good job of covering the roots, but the texture was super sticky and stiff, and I felt like my hair had some strange hair spray residue in it that wouldn't smooth out for anything. It also got all over my fingers every time I would itch my head. Bleh.
I also found it very messy to use -- I have stained spots on the bathroom wall now from when I did my hair with it. I have a small bathroom so it couldn't be helped, unfortunately.
Anyway I don't recommend this, mostly for the texture, but the other issues, too.
I should make a note that I got this free in exchange for an honest review!
Great for a quick retouch
Got it from ChickAdvisor to test in dark mahogany. The smell was a bit strong and I wasn't fully sure how much I really needed and how far/close to hold the spray from my hair. Wish there been a bit more instructions. Got some on my skin but thankfully it's an easy cleanup as the dye is made to be washed away in one shampoo.
Messy
Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher seemed like a great product but I found it very messy. I used Dark Mahogany. I found it did not spray evenly, I needed up with a mess everywhere. I pick dark Mahogany when my hair was darker, the color was great. I had an issue using the product ...either I got too much or not enough coverage. I was disappointed in the application method more than the product.
I wouldn't try Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher again
I got this product about 2 weeks ago: Schwarzkopf® Root Retoucher™ in Dark Mahogany and i was Really excited to use it. It was very simple to use but i find after 1 week i washed my hair and i find it didn't cover all my greys. I dont know if i will want to retry. Thanks chickadvisor.

Easy to use (once you get the hang of it...)
Was thrilled to get selected to try the Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher (Dark Mahogany), so much that I put off dying my hair for 2 weeks to test it out. I had never tried a similar product, and I soon discovered that with some minor tweaks this could be a great product.
The packaging was very unclear, and I used the product for several days without realizing that the instructions were hidden under the package label which you had to lift open. For people with skin senstitivities this would be pretty important for the allergy test portion. For myself, I just didn’t know how far from my head to use the spray (2cm? 30cm?) which resulted in lots of wasted product. The package also doesn’t mention that if you are spraying parted hair, your part will turn the color of the spray. It can easily be dabbed off right away so it can still look natural, however if it dries completely you need to dab it off with a wet cloth which also removes the spray from your hair, resulting in wasted product.
When you get the hang of it after several failed attempts, this product could be a life saver in a pinch. It blends well, washes out easy, and doesn’t transfer when dried. The packaging needs clearer instructions however, and for this reason I would say it is only average.
Not What I Expected
I tried Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher in Dark Mahogany. The colour matched my darker red hair. I had a recurring issue with the application. It was messy and it took a lot of trying to not have streaks of it running down my cheeks. I have some white to cover on my temples and I feel this product is not right for that. It comes out in a blast and that is where my problem lays. If it were to gently come out of the can it would work better. I was left with blotches that took awhile to dry. The smell is a bit too strong as well. I cannot recommend this product from my own experience.

Still undecided
I was lucky to be chosen to try the Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher. #gotitforfree.
I have to say that it has to be the simplest at least packaging wise because you don’t have to mix anything to get it ready
Simply a good shake and spray!
I actually sprayed it on the tissue paper to get a hang of it first then tried it on my hair. The shade was a bit off but that’s ok. The consistency and look seemed a bit odd but it took quite a bit to cover the grey and it stayed wet longer maybe because I used more.
After I washed it my greys look stained I guess.
I would have to try it again.
It’s a good concept for a quick fix. I think it’s a great product for when yr going on vacation this way it holds you over and you can do your hair when you get back.
Thanks chickadvisor for letting me try it out x.

Didn’t meet my expectations
I usually love the scwartzkopf brand, But this fall short for me! I do have some greys and thought that it would cover but it didn’t. It didn’t match my hair color, that could’ve been an issue, but even if you did match my colour it’s still did not cover my roots or my grays. I wouldn’t try this again, I do love the brand though but not for this product?!

It's ok for occasional use
I was picked to try Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher in Dark Mahogany through ChickAdvisor #gotitfree , and I'm honestly not sure it's something I will buy again. It did work, it covered my regrowth and my greys! Unfortunately, I really wasn't happy with the fact it made my hair feel very dry, looked dull, and easily came off on my hands once it was dry. I'm thankful that I didn't have to go out in the rain or snow, as I have a feeling it would have run & ruined my clothes! I think it's a great idea, but still needs some work. I will use what I have left of my free one occasionally, for if I really feel it's necessary to hide the regrowth & greys, but it won't be something I'd use for going out somewhere that my hair might get wet, or someone might touch my hair and end up with it all over their hands!
