I received this product for free from ChickAdvisor. I tested it on a shirt I didn't need a new button on and used one of the clear buttons for my test. It stuck quite well, but I didn't wear the shirt for the day, so only time will tell! I was very unsure of how this product would work before I opened the package. Because you stick your button onto the adhesive disk thing at the front of the pin, the shirt was not actually pulling on a taped button, but rather the pin itself. This made me feel much more confident that the button would stay. In the future, I likely will stay away from clear buttons. Anything but clear would look so much more inconspicuous. I will say that for $7.99/4 buttons, I would definitely not purchase this product myself. Sewing a button in a pinch would take much longer than applying the pin, but at $2+/pin, I can't justify this purchase.

I thought this was a good concept to fix buttons on the go. However it's not really practical in my opinion. I used it on my brother's shirt when his button fell out. It's super easy to use because I just press the pin through the shirt and stick a button on top. However, it looks super obvious when he puts the shirt back on, you could see there's a bump on the shirt because the pin is not flat. He also mention the shirt became uncomfortable when he wears it because he could feel the pin pressing on the skin. Overall I think it is helpful during emergency situation, I just wish that the pin can be flatter so it doesn't create the bump when it's use on a top.
OK, I get it. Buttons can be a bit annoying for people who don't feel comfortable with a needle, but really? It's not that bad. But if you're really stuck in a pinch, the Scotch Essentials Easy Fix Button isn't a bad idea either.
To be entirely transparent, the easy fix is literally a pin that has an adhesive on the top so you can 'fake' your button. But it''s really and truly a gold pin that you stab into your shirt. I wasn't a big fan of this solution because I hate the feeling of a pin stuck against my chest (since the buttons on the most sensitive parts of my chest are usually the ones that fly off.) But, in an absolute pinch, it's better than nothing. I'll keep the rest of these in my drawer at work JUST IN CASE I'm in this situation again, but I don't think I'd buy it.

The button was probably my least favourite out of the Scotch Essentials products, BUT in a pinch it still did the job. The adhesive held, but I think in the long run I will still be sewing my buttons back on permanently. The whole idea of having to remember to remove the pin when washing was kind of a turn-off for me.

I don't really wear a lot of clothes that have buttons but still thought this was a neat concept.
If you need a quick fix when you're on the go or absolutely can't sew to save your life then these will come in handy. Its a bit of a hefty price tag for 4 buttons though so it may not be worth it for a lot of people. Also it seems like it may not have a lot of staying power, more of a quick fix till it can be done properly solution.
I received this product free from Chick Advisor. This product works well for a emergency quick fix definitely not ment for permanent solutions. It's great the you can use the button that has fallen off u our current shirt and not just the buttons they provide you with. It's a gear product to keep handy in your purser or car. The process is super simple and quick.
I got this as a free sample to try. This is a really interesting concept on fixing buttons. It works well if you really can't sew or need an emergency fix though I wouldn't use it as a more permanent solution as I am capable of sewing on a button with needle and thread. The clothes I wear usually have pretty colourful buttons and this pack comes with basic colours that would stand out on those clothes.
I got this from Chickadvisor to review. First, I would never pay $7.99 for this kit ($2.00 per button), but having said that, it's brilliantly easy to use and would be an easy add to a purse or desk drawer. The buttons have staying power, but they aren't reusable. Great idea Scotch!
I received this product for free via ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club. The Scotch Essentials Easy Fix Button was so easy and simple to use. The cons to this product are few: only 4 pins to stick the spare buttons to; the backing for the pin is quite bulky, so depending on where the 'fix' is needed it may be uncomfortable to wear. I would recommend this product if needed for a quick fix until you return home to reaffix your button.
