I received this product to review for free from Chick Advisor and I was thrilled. I've had a pair of pants in my drawer for months that I haven't worn for fear of fraying them unless I'm wearing tall boots. Its a stretchy polyester blend type material and I was afraid if I tried to hem them myself that I would ruin them. This Scotch product was absolutely fantastic! Super easy to apply and fixed the hem perfectly with no unglueing, even after 2 washes!

This product is a must for any short or petite girl.. like me! Most of my pants are too long for me, but I buy them anyway because I fall in love. I have always just let them hang or tried to fold them but this always makes the bottoms fray overtime. These permanent hem bonding strips are the perfect solution. They have worked with all of the fabrics I have used and hold up in the wash. They are easy to apply and make my pants look perfectly hemmed. A must for everyone!

Just my luck a favorite pair of pants decided to fray open on one of the pant legs. These strips rescued me! These are wide leg pants so I had to use 4 strips to fix one of the legs but it's staying put. Much faster and cheaper than a trip to the tailor, but it may add up if I continue hemming all my pants using this product.
I would try it on dresses as well, those at the awkward frumpy length. And I wonder if you could use it to mend something as well.
Will have to try that out when the opportunity arises.

As a short girl, I know a few things about hems. I also know that hemming a garment is the most ANNOYING part about the clothes-buying process. Every, single, pant I own that is not a capri needs to be hemmed. Even petite pants need to be hemmed. I could keep a tailor in business for life.

And then in comes the Scotch Essentials Permanent Hem Bonding Strips and my life is FOREVER changed. No longer do I need to take a $20 pair of jeans to a tailor for a $10 hemming job. I can do it myself! The adhesive strips were super easy to figure out. All I needed to do was flip my pants inside out, determine the hem (measure, always!), wet my fingers (yeah, didn't learn that with the first strip) and stick it to the pants and rub it in for good measure. I didn't do the adhesive along the seam with my first pair of pants, so the hem job isn't perfect, but I know better for next time. I also tested this on a cheaper pair of pants the first time around too just in case.

Honestly, this is a game-changer to a girl like me with no access to a sewing machine and no patience to hand-stitch a hem. I'd totally recommend this to any other short girl in need of an easy, DIY hem job.

Truly impressive. The moment I got these, I asked my husband if he had pants that he needed "hemmed" too! I cannot believe that this adhesive lasts through a washer AND dryer! These bonding strips are SUPER sticky and even stuck to my own skin quite well, so fabric doesn't stand a chance! These bonding strips are definitely going to be my vice as I am one who is sewing handicapped. Great product!

I was thrilled to be able to test this product for the Chickadvisor Product Review Club!
This product is made for people like me who find most sewing jobs very challenging and don't have the funds to hire a tailor to hem most of the clothes I buy. (While I am not short, my legs are short relative to my body so most pants, skirts and dresses I buy are too long.)

I used this on a double-slit skirt and it worked quite well, though you have to be very careful to place it as it is not adjustable like the similar product. The skirt has gone through the washer/dryer 3 times now and the hem has not loosened at all. Very pleased!

I was a lucky girl to get this product from the Chick Advisor Review Club. I often need my pants hemmed but am too cheap to pay a seamstress to do it since I don't have the skills to do it myself. After reading the directions I went to work. I was amazed at how easy it was. My pants looked perfect. The only downfall would be I don't think it would make a very nice jean hem due to the need for the stitching to be at the bottom to look unaltered but for dress pants this is top notch. I did however get one strip completely stuck all over my hand, but that was user error and after figuring out how to handle the strip properly I was able to apply the remaining strips with no issues. I will for sure be recommending this product to my friends and family. Thanks again Chick Advisor!

I was lucky enough to receive this product to review and I really like it! I'm only 5'3 so a product like this comes in handy. I will continue to purchase these as many pants I buy are still to long for me.

I was fortunate to receive this product for free through the product review club. This is absolutely permanent, which is both good and bad. I had trouble getting my pants folded straight and once you stick, you're committed. Once the strip is stuck, it doesn't come apart, even after washing.

I don't find the strips any less fiddly than hemming pants, however, if you don't own a sewing machine (like me) or usually pay to have your pants hemmed, these are an excellent alternative.

My only complaint is that I wish they were a little more forgiving during the application process.

This stuff is so crazy sticky, make sure you are careful when you placing the strips. I used this on a pair of pants that have been hiding in my closet not being worn because I do not have time to get to a tailor. I have been using them for 2 weeks and they have been washed a few times and still holding in place. Thank you Scotch Essentials!
