Wow, great product, I was even able to get my hubby to use it to hem his jeans he has needed hemmed for months.I would highly recommend you double check your measurements and iron a crease in whatever you are heming before you use these strips because they are permanent.Once you press down hard to bond the 2 sides together they are not coming apart. Hubby has worn his jeans a few times & I have washed them a couple times & the hem is still in. Great to have on hand for emergency hemming and for those that cannot sew.Great product. I have no idea how to use a sewing machine so I was always relying on others to have time to hem my pants, but with the permanent hem strips I can do it myself and save money both on purchasing pants and services to have them hemmed!!

When I heard that I was getting to try the new Scotch Essentials line through ChickAdvisor, I was ecstatic. I can't sew. At all. I mean, I can't even sew a button. Can't thread a needle even with a needle threader.

I'm at that awkward height of 5'4". So regular are always a bit too long and petite just a bit too short. In the past, I've just always purchased petite pants and worn flats.

These strips are simply amazing! I had five pairs of pants that have been sitting in my drawer for years, and I'm not even exaggerating. I could have gone to a tailor and gotten them tailored, but I knew that could be costly, so I just let them sit in my drawer. (Luckily I don't have moths!)

The strips were pretty easy to apply. I didn't get all fancy with measurements, I simply aligned the strips along the current hem. I found that worked pretty well for me. I did have a bit of trouble with the application on the first pair of pants, which were a slinky jersey fabric, but the dress pants and jeans were super easy.

You need to be really careful when applying the strips because it is easy to pull them apart incorrectly which causes them to stick to your skin and bunch up a bit.

I waited to post my review because I was really skeptical about them surviving the wash, but they got through two washings with no problems.

These will definitely be a staple in our house from now on!

Sewing is not always my thing, so products like this are incredible. A few quick minutes and the clothes are ready to wear! It even works great on quick projects like a halloween costume!

My daughter is very petite so we have trouble fining pants that aren't to long for her. I can't sew to save my life so these permanent hem boding strips are amazing!! I tried the adjustable hem tape, but in some cases I would like something that is permanent. I have washed her pants a few times and still intact!! So super easy to apply, saved me from making a mess and attempting to sew!

Got to try this product for free, thanks to ChickAdvisor Product Review Club! I hemmed a pair of my daughter's pants that she loves to wear, but are way too long. All I did was measure where I wanted the hem to be, put the tape on, and then folded the fabric over top, making sure it stuck well. Worked great! Unlike the Adjustable Hem Tape, this is a more permanent solution. The tape is heavier, and more sticky so it will stay on for a long time. Havent' washed the pants yet, so we will see how the tape holds up after they're washed. Definitely recommend this product!

Wow, no more reason not to fix the hem of my pants. This is quick and easy and looks awesome. I will definetly buy it every time i get a new pair of pants.

LOL I used these to hem my curtains before winter as I have electric heat and my curtains hung too low in front of the heater. I love the strips, worked very easily and were easy to apply.I will have to try them for other uses too.

My pants are always needed to be hemmed so this is great for when I need it done right away, I still prefer needle and tread as I feel it gives the bottom a better look but this is a great solution if I don't have matching thread or if I am not able to sew right away. This product is even better for someone like my husband who can use these strips wonderfully but cannot sew to save his life. The permanent strips will definitely be a good things to keep around the house for when we are short on time.

I received the permanent hem strips for free from Chick Advisor, so I can provide my unbiased opinion. First off, I hope they came in shorter strips (I know I can just cut them, but it is sticky). Second, the instructions say your hand should be moist to avoid getting the sticky stuff on you, well, the sticker will get wet too and it becomes a little gooey as you apply it on the fabric. Third, staying power is good. However, I have not tried to dry it on high in my dryer because the box doesn't say if it is safe. I'm worried I might melt the strip. Will update once I have done so.
