I was really excited to receive this product from ChickAdvisor to review! As a curvy girl who is only 5'6 I am often wearing out the hem on pants that fit me well but are a little too long. I am not very proficient at using the sewing machine so these permanent hem bonding strips seem like the perfect solution for me. They were easy to apply, and did a perfect job of hemming a pair of my favourite jeans so that they no longer dragged on the floor. I used them on maternity jeans because I am at the point where I will be wearing flats the rest of this pregnancy so I was happy for a tidy way to make these jeans a better fit. I was very impressed with how easy there were and how well they worked.

I was able to try this product for free through the product review club. I didn't have any pant or skirt hems that needed permanent changes, but I did have a pair of cotton drapes that were begging to be shortened by a few inches. I used a bunch of the strips along the length of each panel, and to my astonishment they worked beautifully! It was a time consuming, but then again, it wasn't a small area like that of a pair of pants. These are great to have on hand for people that aren't very good with needle and thread (like me). I can sew on a button, but hemming a pair of pants or a skirt would be something I'd have to pay someone to do.

I have several pairs of pants that are long in length and I'm terrible at sewing. This was super easy to use and it worked like a charm.

My sewing machine recently stopped working. The timing could not be worse as the stitching came undone on the hem of one pair of pants that I regularly wear to work. I'm a klutz when it comes to hand-sewing anything so I haven't been able to wear the pants until I received the Scot Essentials Permanent Hem Bonding Strips as a result of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. I tried using the bonding trips for my pants and was surprised by how easy it was to use. It worked! it was such a cinch to hem my pants again, and I was able to wear them immediately after. The hem continues to hold strong after a few washes, and I am very happy with the results. I'll certainly keep this in mind the next time I need to hem something.

I received the product from Chickadvisor to test out. Just my luck I have a few pair of pants to fix. The instructions are easy enough. The only tool I needed was an iron. I ironed my pants to get a guide line and then used the stickers. They are really sticky! I used a full sheet peer hem and it wasn't quite enough. I did get some puckering and there was a bit of twisting. I did get some on the glue on the hot iron, so I'm dealing with that now.
I hemmed 2 pair of pants, one was a light cotton/poly blend and the second was a heavier cotton. I am a little wary of the second pair, but time will tell. I haven't washed either pair yet so I don't know how they will stand up.
So for now I'm happy with how easy it was and how quickly I was able to do it. Much better than staples and safety pins! Price is pretty good, approx $10 a box; I've hemmed 2 pair of pants. The only thing that would change my rating is if it didn't last very long.

these strips were so easy to use! I had opened the pack and asked my hubby for help then when I seen how easy it was, I sent him away! Super easy to use and very effective! Will definitely be buying these again!

This was a good thing because I had a pair of pants that I wanted to hem and had been putting off. I only had to fire up the iron to get a good seam line to use as a guide and then run a row of adhesive stickers along the line. I can only wait and see how long it will last through washings, but it made my pants wearable in a short amount of time.

just moved to a new house and needed to hem the new curtains until I could find my sewing machine. It was a bit of a nightmare getting them hemmed in a few areas, but I may need my sewing machine at all! Nice

I received these permanent bonding strips as a free sample to review. I found these strips really easy to use and they stayed attached through the whole day and didn't feel like they lost any of their effectiveness. I would definitely purchase them again and I have even told my friends about them and I'm sure they will be purchasing them.

I really liked it. I'm short (5' 3") so hemming pants and skirts is a way a life for me! This was a simple and quick solution that I can implement at home. I tried this on some pants, and it's worked great so far. I recommend this as an alternative to standard hemming.
