I'm short. At 5'2", even petite length pants are too long on me. Over the years I have bought countless pairs of pants because I love them and have full intentions of hemming them so that they would fit right... and somehow I never get around to it. Its just too much work! When I saw that Chick Advisor was looking for people to review these new Scotch Permanent Hem Bonding Strips, I jumped at the chance! I grabbed a pair of jeans that fit awesome but are just too long so I don't wear them often. The instructions that came with the hem strips are easy to follow. You really have to press down quite a bit on the backing paper to make sure that the paper comes off of the adhesive easily. Within 5 minutes I had a pair of jeans that were the PERFECT length for me!! I also tried it on a shirt but it was a little harder to do on thin cotton. I do recommend that you do this on a hard surface and not on your bed, like I did ;)

I have a black pencil skirt that who's hem has half unraveled several months ago. For a while, I would wear the skirt forgetting the hem was broken, then out came the safety pin. It held the hem in place but no matter how strategically I place it some silvery metal always shines through my black skirt.

Needless to say, Scotch Essentials Permanent Hem Bonding Strips was just the product I needed. It was quick and easy to apply (took me less than 1 min) and the skirt looks as good as new. As for the "permanent" claim, we will have to see how the strip holds up after going through some wear and tear and a few washes.

For now, I am impressed.

I was surprised at how well this product held up to the wash. It was trick to use at first but once it's in place it really last. I am a short person so hemming was part of my routine. Paying to get clothes hem can cost a lot . This is very functional and you don't have to keep replacing it.

I decided to use this product on my jeans since I am a short but curvy woman, it's hard to find large enough jeans that aren't a foot too long.

The product was easy enough to use, you just remove the backing strip and stick it where you want your new hem to go. I found it tricky to make sure it was in straight.

I have yet to wash them but I hope that it will hold up since I'm not very good at sewing but I may or may not buy these in stores.

I am rating this product highly due to its function and effectiveness! It, however, is not thr easiest thing to use. Read the instructions carefully (really do moisten your finger tips!) and watch the instruction video on YouTube so that you don't get as frustrated as I did! The product does the job, but I did find it very tricky to use.

Wow I was very surprised on how much this product held up in the wash, really didnt think it would last after water hit it but it did. I would absolutely recommend this product.

Received this product for free and when I used it, it was super easy. No hassle at all. I think I'm going to try using it on my curtains too! Works well and like the product says, it's very easy to apply! I'll be keeping this on my must-buy list.

I've always paid to have pants hemmed, so I was excited to be able to try it on my own! I was able to quickly and efficiently hem some of my pants and it was so easy. It doesn't look as great as when I pay an arm and a leg for a professional to do it, but at the reduced cost and ease of use I will try the product again and again. Thanks.

Really easy to use, and very effective. I used to hem my pants. Stays in place. Love it and will buy in the future! I'll be using it to hem my curtains as well. I have no sewing capabilities at all, and is the perfect solution for me.

i had the opportuntiy to test out Scotch Essentials Permanent Hem Bonding Strips. Although I can seew, I dont like the thoughts of pulling out a machine to do a quick hem . WOW , I love the versitility and easy of use of this product. I had a hem coming down as I was getting ready for work. Get out the Bonding strips and moments later I can be on my way. No waiting , no iron needed...just fast and simple
