Got to try this product for free, thanks to ChickAdvisor Product Review Club! I hemmed a pair of my daughter's pants that she loves to wear, but are way too long. All I did was measure where I wanted the hem to be, put the tape on, and then folded the fabric over top, making sure it stuck well. Worked great! Unlike the Adjustable Hem Tape, this is a more permanent solution. The tape is heavier, and more sticky so it will stay on for a long time. Havent' washed the pants yet, so we will see how the tape holds up after they're washed. Definitely recommend this product!

I like the convenience of these strips, sometimes I just don't feel like getting out the sewing machine to do a proper hem. I still think sewing is the better way, but since most people don't know how to do that anymore, these are a great option. Very sticky! Still waiting to see how they perform after several washes.

Wow, no more reason not to fix the hem of my pants. This is quick and easy and looks awesome. I will definetly buy it every time i get a new pair of pants.

LOL I used these to hem my curtains before winter as I have electric heat and my curtains hung too low in front of the heater. I love the strips, worked very easily and were easy to apply.I will have to try them for other uses too.

I haven't had the need to try the Scotch essentials permanent bonding strips as of yet but I let a friend of mine try it for her son's pants and she loved it. She had bought her son a pair of pants thinking they would fit but they were too long. She didn't want to go back to the store and return them so she was happy when I let her use these. I watched her apply the strips to the pants and it took no time and looked easy enough to do. She had told me that she has washed his pants and it stuck as well. I will keep these for my own try in the future

My pants are always needed to be hemmed so this is great for when I need it done right away, I still prefer needle and tread as I feel it gives the bottom a better look but this is a great solution if I don't have matching thread or if I am not able to sew right away. This product is even better for someone like my husband who can use these strips wonderfully but cannot sew to save his life. The permanent strips will definitely be a good things to keep around the house for when we are short on time.

I received the permanent hem strips for free from Chick Advisor, so I can provide my unbiased opinion. First off, I hope they came in shorter strips (I know I can just cut them, but it is sticky). Second, the instructions say your hand should be moist to avoid getting the sticky stuff on you, well, the sticker will get wet too and it becomes a little gooey as you apply it on the fabric. Third, staying power is good. However, I have not tried to dry it on high in my dryer because the box doesn't say if it is safe. I'm worried I might melt the strip. Will update once I have done so.

I swear by these. Great to have and it seems to last. Not just for emergency situations. Highly recommend adding this to your sewing kit. Especially if your sewing is limited like mine, this works wonders.

I received the Scotch Essentials Permanent Hem Bonding Strips for free from ChickAdvisor. I always have to hem my pants so any innovative product that will help me out in that area is something I am willing to give a chance to! This one was a bit trickier than the adjustable hem strip as it was super duper sticky! In the end, though, it worked out really well and I do really like this product! It was fairly easy to use and looks to be pretty durable. This is great to keep in the house for when you need to hem something. I wish I had these in my life earlier but better late than never right? :)

I was fortunate enough to receive this free from Chickadvisor and I want to thank them emmensily for sending it as it was a life saver! My favorite pants had the hem let go 20 mins before a big meeting at work, but this was so quick and easy, that I fixed the hem and still made the meeting with time to spare! It lasted through washes and ironing and is still holding up that hem! :)
Have bought some more to have in the house already, and you get lots for your money. Well worth it!
