This product is a pretty good one. I hate hemming pants so the ease of use with this product made my day. Lasted easily through a wash and dry cycle. It looks every bit as good as a professional hemming. Would highly recommend this item.

I received the Scotch Essentials Permanent Hem Bonding Strips free from Chick Advisor as part of their Product Review Club and I absolutely love them. I am a short woman and thus have to get things hemmed all the time! I am only 5'2 and a lot of the time prefer pants that are not made for petit women. The strips were super easy to use, the most complicated thing was setting the hem perfectly before applying the adhesive but that is just because I hemmed a pair of pants that weren't denim and thus the fabric was a bit less stiff. I also hemmed a dress and it looks so much better now! The adhesive is super sticky and I did get some on my hands which made it a bit difficult to work with. Wetting your fingers actually helped quite a bit. I think this product is great for anyone who isn't a whiz with a thread and needle. Also, this is much more affordable than a tailor. I will say that on one of my items I did miss the actual stitch line aesthetically but other than that I really loved the product. I would most definitely recommend it and would buy it again to use. I've been turned into a fan for sure!

I used the strips on a pair of my sons jeans that were way too long.
They worked well, although a bit tricky as they stuck to my hands. I love how well these strips hold and I would much rather use these strips than going through the trouble of taking clothing to the tailor to be hemmed.

I received this product as a Chick Advisor and am always one to keep an open mind in trying something. I purchased pants for my growing 2 boys who are husky but not tall and took the opportunity to use try these products out first on their cotton dress pants. I did not want to spend money on hemming them (purchased for under $15 a Old Navy). I prepped them by pinning them and then proceeded to try and place the permanent hem strips on one part of the pants. It was very awkward and even though I figured they would hold, it mostly stuck to my hands and then would not adhere to the pants very well. I fudged my way through it and got them to stick but not sure it would be a permanent fix or make it through a wash (or through rough and tumble play that boys can do). I also don't think it would look good on a more delicate pair of dress pants as it was hard to place on easily and left some wrinkling. I plan on removing the bonding strips after the wedding, hoping I haven't ruined a pair of pants that could still be worn as they grow. I am on the fence about purchasing this product.

LOVE this. When buying any pants I always have to turn them up, I'm only 5ft tall. This is so easy to use, following the instructions are so easy too. I will definitely buy more it the future. Still have 2 pairs of pants to use them on. Thank you Chickadvisor for the opportunity to try these

I LOVE this product ... so far! Being a shorty, I always have to hem skirts and pants even if I buy Petite. I used these strips on a new pair of jeans. They are very easy to use and way faster than hand sewing (and neater too!)
My only reservation is that I've only washed the jeans once (in warm wash, cold rinse). The hems stayed in place, but I will reserve my full judgement until they've been washed more than once. If they last, I give this product my full endorsement. I received this product from ChickAdvisor Review.
