I did Hem Scotch Essentials Permanent Hem Bonding Strips to a pair of Jeans. I put them in the cold wash and they are still holding strong. No-sew hem I love it!. Easy application strips works on most fabrics. I would not use this product on silk. Pretest delicate fabrics first. I like that this product is a no ironing method as well. I had a pair of jeans that my mother-in-law picked up for me on a trip out of town that were 2-3" too long. I couldn't return them so they sat in my closet for nearly a year since I can't sew for the life of me :)

When I was accepted to review this product, I knew this was what I was going to try it on first. I really expected it to be difficult and that the result wouldn't last.

The process was really easy! I followed the instructions as it said and chose to iron the part I wanted hemmed because it helped to smooth out the area and make it cleaner looking.

The only issue I had was that some of the strips had glue outside its edges and even on top of the brown paper, so when pulling off the brown paper, the whole strip of glue tried to pull off with it causing it to stretch and mess up, even after pressing it down hard.

After washing my jeans, the hem is still there. It isn't budging. I am so pleased with this. I am now able to wear my jeans after waiting for a year.

I would highly recommend this product, not only for those who can't sew like myself, but for those who want to save time.

I tried the Adjustable Hem Tape first and must say that I preferred working with that product as you could make adjustments more easily. I found the Permanent Bonding Strips rather sticky to work with but it helped when I used just short strips at a time. It was still rather finicky and I would say it lends itself to just short repairs rather than putting up the hem on an entire pair of trousers for example. Then traditional sewing word work better. All in all, OK but I preferred the Adjustable Hem tape.

My sewing ability is very limited so I was very excited about trying out the Scotch Essentials Permanent Hem Bonding Strips. I am short, so when I buy pants, very often they need to be hemmed and that is beyond my sewing capabilities. This product worked great. It was easy to use, and I was able to hem my pants so that I can finally wear them! I would highly recommend to anyone who needs a quick hem, or is sewing challenged like I am.

I received this product from ChickAdvisor and the Product Review Club. I have to say that I'm a fan of this product but don't like it as much as the Scotch Essentials Adjustable Hem Tape. It's great for people who want a permanent fix to their pants and don't have a sewing machine but it is permanent so If you make any mistakes your stuck with the result. Unlike using thread, which can be undone, this can't be. You have to be super careful when applying this product and take the time to make sure it's the length you want and that it's the same length all around the pant leg.I think it's a great product for some individuals who want that quick fix and aren't great with a sewing machine, but for me I'd rather have the real deal. I like the look for sewn hems on jeans and I prefer the temporary solution which you can fix, if you make any mistakes.

I was super excited to try this as I have a few skirts with hems that have started to come loose and I've been pinning the inner hem up (too busy to take them in for hem repair and I'm hopeless at doing a straight stitch on my own as I don't own a sewing machine).

This is a great solution! It was easy to apply and as long as you do it carefully, it did not bunch up. I only used it on dry clean only items (wool skirts) so I can't comment on the ability to wash it, but so far, it seems like a good solution for those who can't sew :)

I have received this product complimentary of ChickAdvisor for review. This product was perfect for me as I am someone that do not own a sewing machine and I do not do any sort of sewing. Let me tell you this product comes with these brown tape that are really sticky. Make sure you measure your clothing piece well and iron it flat before using this product for best results. I had trouble peeling it at first because it keep sticking onto my fingers even after my fingers were moistened. After I got the hand of it it was so easy to use. I used this product on my skirt. I have so many skirts and they were all pretty long. I decided to hem it above the knee. My skirt was made of cotton. This tape worked so well on the skirt. If I didn't tell anyone they wouldn't know it was hemmed unless they inspect it and notice that there is no sewing at the bottom where it was hemmed. I tried tugging onto the hem of the skirt and the tape stayed in place. I would definitely purchase this product in the future to fix my skirts as I am not good at all with thread and needles.

I received this product from the Chick Advisor Product Review Club. I was impressed. I do not sew, so I was excited to try this product to repair the hem that had come out on a pair of pants. It was quick and easy to apply the adhesive strip and it held wonderfully. They worked perfectly and flawlessly. I was able to wash in cold water and line dry the pants and the hem is still in place. I will definitely use these again! Overall I would recommend this product and would definitely purchase as I'm not good at sewing and these do the job perfectly.

I received this for free for review from Chickadvisor and I have to say - I LOVE it. It is a huge lifesaver for me, especially being a mere 5'2 a lot of pants wind up being too long for my legs. Instead of paying a pocket full of cash to have the hemmed, I usually let them hang or I would cuff them. Not that awesome. My cuffs would always be dirty or ripped. Now they will look amazing and crisp! They bond well and there is no ironing needed like other leading brands of bonding hems. I washed them - they stayed hemmed. I wore them for a couple of days, and walked around the city - they still worked. Not sure of the cost of them , but yes I will be buying again

I received this from ChickAdvisor to test and it is a complete lifesaver! I got the sample in the mail and just threw it in my bag because I was on my way out the door. As my luck would have it, my heel caught my pant hem while I was out running around that same day. I remembered putting the sample in my bag, middle of downtown on the side walk. I fixed my torn hem quickly! I had another woman ask me if I needed any help, I thanked her for her concern but told her "me and scotch tape have it!" Will buy again.
