I received this to try from ChickAdvisor and didn't have anything to try it on so I passed it along to my Mom and inspected what she did with it on her pants. She hems almost everything so she is good with a needle and thread - she said this was just as easy to apply and it seemed like it was something i could do. She has worn the pants twice since she did it and it has lasted very well. She is considering giving up her needle and thread for this - and I will get some too!

Great idea! For someone who is terrible with a sewing machine, this product is fantastic!! So long to having to pay someone to hem my pants

I love the temporary hem strips which are great for a quick fix and then to let down later (turn pants into capris!). However these Permanent strips are a must have for your wardrobe. It is hard for companies to make pants that will fit each body type perfectly! The scotch essential hem bonding strips help make it easy for you to adjust your pants at home!

I was hesitant to try the product, as I prefer my hems to remain adjustable. But I had such great success with other Scotch Essentials products, that I figured it was worth a shot. Since I was given the chance to try it free for chick advisor, this was the perfect oppurtunity. I had a pair of capri pants that hit at a very awkward length. Too long for capris, really, but far too short for pants. With this product, I was able to create a pair that looked flattering for exactly my height. Yayyy!!

I was really excited to try out this product because I have a couple of pants that are little too long at the hem. I feel that many people have this problem and that the Scotch Essential Permanent Hem Bonding Strips are a easy fast solution.

The tape was very simple to use at the hem and it was a great quick fix. I did wash the pants with the hem tape with cold water, and it was a bit flimsy after that. The product description does state that the hem tape is durable from washing with cold water, however I had a different experience.

But overall it is a great quick fix for a temporary solution.

I received the Scotch Essentials Permanent Hem Bonding Strips free of charge from ChickAdvisor to review. They were not kidding when they said these are permanent! I tried hard to remove them, just to see if I could. No dice. They work great when you follow the directions explicitly. For a simple solution, the price is right. I would definitely buy them again, especially for my husband who wears suits quite a bit and finds it difficult to get them hemmed at the right length for his shorter stature. Well done, Scotch!

I was able to try this product for free through the product review club. I didn't have any pant or skirt hems that needed permanent changes, but I did have a pair of cotton drapes that were begging to be shortened by a few inches. I used a bunch of the strips along the length of each panel, and to my astonishment they worked beautifully! It was a time consuming, but then again, it wasn't a small area like that of a pair of pants. These are great to have on hand for people that aren't very good with needle and thread (like me). I can sew on a button, but hemming a pair of pants or a skirt would be something I'd have to pay someone to do.

My sewing machine recently stopped working. The timing could not be worse as the stitching came undone on the hem of one pair of pants that I regularly wear to work. I'm a klutz when it comes to hand-sewing anything so I haven't been able to wear the pants until I received the Scot Essentials Permanent Hem Bonding Strips as a result of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. I tried using the bonding trips for my pants and was surprised by how easy it was to use. It worked! it was such a cinch to hem my pants again, and I was able to wear them immediately after. The hem continues to hold strong after a few washes, and I am very happy with the results. I'll certainly keep this in mind the next time I need to hem something.
