Works great for fast fix

I found this to be a great product for a fast long lasting fix. It stores easily any where you need. So it's great for travel as well. I would def recommend and by this product again.

Although I have not had the chance to use this product I received as a review product- I did indeed look it over pretty well & read the instructions.

It seems pretty fool proof & simple to use.

I am glad I can keep this on hand tucked away for when I do need a quick no see permanent hem job done

I haven't had the opportunity to try this sample as I don't have anything at the moment to permanently hem...
I would still prefer to send my clothes to a tailor to adjust, just based on expertise.

I enjoyed this product, but someone mentioned to me it the same as buying double sided tape at the dollar store. I found it to be alittle better then regular tape. It held the fabric in place. I think it's a bit pricy for tape. It was a easy fix for people like me that can't sew well.

I decided to use this product on my jeans since I am a short but curvy woman, it's hard to find large enough jeans that aren't a foot too long.

The product was easy enough to use, you just remove the backing strip and stick it where you want your new hem to go. I found it tricky to make sure it was in straight.

I have yet to wash them but I hope that it will hold up since I'm not very good at sewing but I may or may not buy these in stores.

I like the idea that I can hem my pants without paying to have it done..... however with that being said they mean it when they say permanent. You have to be very precise and hope you have everything lined up just right. Once its applied that's it you're out of luck if you've made a mistake.

Think I will stick with getting my pants hemmed professionally.... more tailored look and I don't have to worry about making a mistake or having the glue showing threw lighter slacks

Great for a quick fix. I still prefer to take my clothing to a tailor (or sew if you can do it yourself) - but it is great to keep while travelling or to work.

I received the Scotch Essentials Permanent Hem Bonding Strips free to test out.
I used the strips on a pair of my sons jeans that were way too long.
They worked well, although a bit tricky as they stuck to my hands. I love how well these strips hold and I would much rather use these strips than going through the trouble of taking clothing to the tailor to be hemmed.

I received this product as a Chick Advisor and am always one to keep an open mind in trying something. I purchased pants for my growing 2 boys who are husky but not tall and took the opportunity to use try these products out first on their cotton dress pants. I did not want to spend money on hemming them (purchased for under $15 a Old Navy). I prepped them by pinning them and then proceeded to try and place the permanent hem strips on one part of the pants. It was very awkward and even though I figured they would hold, it mostly stuck to my hands and then would not adhere to the pants very well. I fudged my way through it and got them to stick but not sure it would be a permanent fix or make it through a wash (or through rough and tumble play that boys can do). I also don't think it would look good on a more delicate pair of dress pants as it was hard to place on easily and left some wrinkling. I plan on removing the bonding strips after the wedding, hoping I haven't ruined a pair of pants that could still be worn as they grow. I am on the fence about purchasing this product.
