Love Buttermilk

I love buttermilk. I’ve drank it all my life and prefer it to that of 2% milk.
I add a little salt and pepper to it and yummy...a great drink.
I buy the Nelson and Sealtest brands most of the time, as it’s thicker and has more sour flavour to it.

Sealtest is my go to brand for Milk, cream and buttermilk. The products are of great quality and consistency. I buy the full fat version and it tastes great.Great pancakes too. Sometime I make soups and other Eastern European dishes with the buttermilk and it come out great!

I like to have buttermilk in the fridge for cooking and baking purposes. I use it to make pancakes, buttermilk cookies ( which is one of my favorite cookies ) and when I make a Texas sheet cake. When I run out of butter milk I substitute it with one cup of milk with a tablespoon of vinegar and it works just as well. Sealtest buttermilk has only a 1% fat content so no need to feel guilty. Its inexpensive and found at almost every grocery store.

I like to use buttermilk for my Sunday morning "Buttermilk Pancakes". Gives my recipes a rich buttery smooth taste and makes everything light and airy. Can be added for in so many dishes like muffins, breads, biscuits and sauces where you want that extra rich taste.
