I first owned the babybjorn baby carrier, it was ok carrying by baby around for the beginning. at 3 months he weighed almost 19lbs and it became hard on the back to carry him aroung and that carrier maxed out around 25lbs or so. I bought this one because now at 9 Months my son weighs 25lbs and I missed carrying him aroung on me. I love this Snugli carrier! Although difficult to place baby in carrier on your back when you are alone, it is possible. When on my back I can walk forever! There is absolutely no strain and I am not at all a fit person. Very happy about this purchase!
