I use to have big problems with my head skin. Always hitching and worst using spray net or other styling hair products. I don't use these products anymore but my head was still hitching. I tried Selsun blue shampoo twice a week and my problem desapear! Give it a try, you won't regret it!
This works great I only use it about twice a week. It doesn't have a great smell but leaves my hair soft and shiny
Produit moyen, je l ai mis pendant Et les résultats ne sont pas probants. J ai encore les pellicule Et rend les cheveux gras.
I am sorry to say it may be a no go product. It is expensive and doesn't work as effectively as they claim. There are other fragrances or strenghs in this product name but maybe I'll try that Botonical moisturizer. We'll see.
have been using it for over 10 years. Great for mild psoriasis with everytime and steady use!
One of the more effective anti dandruff I have tried. I use it once a week and my regular shampoo for the rest of the week. This is excellent during winter time as dandruff gets really bad during that season
Firstly my bottle (purchased a week ago) says just Selsun on it... and its the extra strength one with 2.5% active ingredient. I am not using it for dandruff (more about that in a second) so I was so afraid that it would stink, stain things blue, or make my dry hair drier. No! It has been fine - in fact the ProVitamin B5 makes my hair look and feel great. ( I am also using it with Ojon products) I only wash my hair 2x a week, so I am not overdoing it. The shampoo is not blue: its a skin colour with a thick composition. I am using this as I am volunteering with pets who have a fungal infection: this is a great over-the counter anti-fungal product. This is crazy, but I am using it as my shampoo, but also my body wash for a period of 3 weeks to avoid getting the fungal infection from the animals I`m working with.
My mom had a bottle in my cabinet that I used up while I had dandruff from taking accutane.
First off, this stained the area around the drain of my tub blue, a pretty dark blue too. Nizoral stained a bit as well but not as badly as the Selsun.
It did work on my dandruff but not as well as Nizoral. I feel selsun blue was on par with H&S;but H&S;is cheaper.
I would say try it but, the differences in active ingredients might work with you.
My skin type changed from really oily to dry over about a month and at the first sign of a flake of dandruff in my hair, I ran out and got this shampoo. Even though the bottle says "moisturizing" I felt as though this just made my hair even dryer. My hair got really brittle and I even got a rash on my neck (by my hairline), which my doctor said looked like eczema (meaning I had really dry skin) which I had never gotten before or since throwing out this shampoo. I felt like this product did the opposite of what it promised, which was to repair dry hair and prevent dandruff. Maybe it was just me, but I wouldn't recommend this product.
If you've got dandruff, this is the product for you. I've tried at least 10 other dandruff products and this is the only one that works. The only downside I really find to it is the smell (which isn't all that nice at all.) It's kind of fun though because just like its name the shampoo is actually blue so you feel like a kid again washing your hair with a weird colour.
