Unlike regular toothpasts that have the added benefit of being for sensitive teeth, sensodyne has always BEEN about sensitive teeth. Sure it is more expensive, but it does work better overall, and the taste has evolved since they first appeared on the market (many many years ago!) As I got older, my teeth became more sensitive, and even my dentist recommends this toothpaste for it.
Absolutely worth the extra cost over traditional brands...

I am the self appointed queen of sensitive teeth. I can't do hot or cold, which can make life kinda bland and boring. This toothpaste makes it more possible for me to have this type of things. If I use my spouses toothpaste for a few days, it is a strong reminder of my sensitive suffering..lol
