I’ve been searching for toothpaste that can help with the few spots on my teeth that have become sensitive over the last few years. I’ve tried a few different toothpastes that are specially made for sensitive teeth, but most seem to stop work after I’ve used them for awhile. When I saw a commercial for the new Sensodyne Repair and Protect I though why not give this one a try next. So I picked it up about two weeks ago and have used it everyday since. From the first time I used it and rinsed my mouth out my teeth felt find. I never got that awful zinging pain that always hits when I’m not expecting it to. The Sensodyne toothpaste web site says their new Sensodyne Repair & Protect toothpaste is a new breakthrough formula with clinically proven Novamin technology that actually will repair your sensitive teeth. They say this is a concentrated calcium and phosphate technology that can repair vulnerable areas with the natural building blocks of your teeth. Once it comes in contact with the saliva in your mouth the Novamin formula is supposed to release calcium and phosphate that form a protective mineral layer to repair the vulnerable areas. They also say if used twice a day the new Sensodyne Repair & Protect will continue to help repair, strengthen and protect your teeth while it helps you to fight cavities and leave your month with a nice minty fresh taste. Like I said I’ve only been using it for a few weeks now, so I can’t say that their claims that it can repair your sensitive teeth is true, but I can tell you that it sure has stop my teeth from giving me that unwanted painful surprise when I eat or drink anything that is hot or cold. So far I’m pleased with the new Sensodyne Repair & Protect toothpaste and hopefully it will continue to work for me. I like the nice minty taste and love how well it has worked for me. It does cost a bit more, but its worth it to not get those painful unexpected surprises.
