The serum is lightweight with a pleasant subtle fragrance much like a silky lotion. You only need a minimum amount to cover your entire face and it absorbs quickly. While it doesn't leave any sticky residue behind, I found that it interfered with my foundation somewhat making it flake off so I used it only at night after having used it both day and night for over a week. What I hated was that it really made my skin breakout profusely which is why I had to stop using this product. My skin has some slight discoloration that I wanted to lighten up and this still didn't work for me so it probably will not work for those with sever hyper pigmentation. I really wanted to continue using it more than the three weeks I was on this but I just can't handle the irritation and breakouts any longer. It was disappointing to say the least.
