This is a great collection because of the large amount of colors to choose from. However, I did not really like the eye shadows. I thought it broke apart really easily and is really powdery. I have to agree that it is pigmented so that's a plus. I do like that it comes with different blushes and lip glosses.

Overall, it is a good product with lots of variety of colors to choose from.

I tried out the Meditation Retreat palette, and so far, it's great for taking on the go in your purse comes with 6 shades of eye-shadow, a (colour) blush and a (clear pink sparkly) lip gloss. Perfect little kit to take with you to any summer destination, or just simply for re-touching wherever you are in the city.

To be clear, it did not come with a complimentary brush applicator, therefore you would also have to carry your own set of travel size brushes and it did not come in a case, (although that might be because.. it was a sample i'm not sure how to real one looks like)

More importantly, let's talk about the colours sephora offers in their summer palette. Rather than the traditional light bright colourful pastels of spring this summer of 2011 Sephora offers a collection of colours that are (insert the six names of colour here). These tones really highlights the face of an oriental face, I would not recommend this product for a darker skin tone. The colours apply a light shaded accent and is not a bold colour with a touch of shimmer. However, it passes the smudge-test where after application the shadow does not move around and fade away. Complete with 3 shades of Green and Bronze colours you can choose whether to have a fun forest inspired green or a health summer glow.

What else does the summer palette includes? Well the blush with no shimmer and lip gloss with shimmer both very subtle tinted pink. The blush is on the lighter scale and would only work on lighter coloured skin, for darker skin a darker, bolder pink would compliment your skin much better than this blush. Just like lipstick, the blush in the sephora kit has a slight warm undertone of orange, therefore those with warm undertone skin would be better suited for this blush and therefore also this kit. Finally the lip gloss, a slight tint of pink and shimmer but not too over-powering, it applies on smooth and more importantly without that sticky feeling. It gives your lips that plump moist lips, an extra kick to looking fabulous at all times.

Overall, this summer palette though limited to those who can use it, is the perfect little kit to take with you on the go for that extra something. Just make sure to bring your own brushes for eye shadow and blush or a cotton swab will do the trick as well ;)
