Not for me sadly
I see people love it with a solid four stars! I had good hopes for it as I do like Shiseido stuff but like the Drunk Elephant F-Balm Electrolyte Water Facial Mask I found it underwhelming... Actually at first I thought this was an eye mask because of the shape of the card but turns out face mask. I had a sample sachet to try and it was enough to cover my face and neck, but maybe I should have put more on my face? Or maybe sleeping masks just aren’t for me? It’s gel and has a lovely scent at first I thought I felt some tightening/firming in a good way, but today my face actually looked drier to me? I have normal but do tend to dry skin and can use heavy moisturizers and oils. I personally wouldn’t go out and buy it but would be curious to try it again and see if maybe I notice a different experience (wanted to love it) #Skincare #Beauty #Masks
Waking up with a fresh hydrated face
I was initially skeptical of sleeping masks but the shiseido ibuki beauty sleeping mask leave my face refreshed and well hydrated! This is my first sleeping mask ever and I am so glad I bought this to try.
The IBUKI Beauty Sleeping Mask is for all skin types that need a pick-me-up. This premise is very classically Asian and works similarly to sleeping "packs" and masks of yore. The formula seals moisture in so that in the morning, you wake up seriously looking more plump. So, yes it works, but again dimethicones. I think if you are in a bind, like "Hi, I'm getting married tomorrow" then sure, but I can't bring myself to use this on a regular basis.
I use this sleep mask with the smart filtering smoother and these two are a fabulous combination! This mask really leaves my skin feeling moist and smooth after and in the morning I use the smoother which leaves my face with a great photo-finishing matte look. Compared to other brands, it is a bit more expensive, but I would say it's worth the value!
This is a sleeping mask for overnight wear. It is lightweight, absorbs fast, has a gel like texture and smells HEAVENLY! This leaves my skin so soft and healthy looking in the morning even when I dont get enough sleep. It also helps me maintain moisture esp during the winter months where it gets really dry (I have combo skin). The jar is big too and a little goes a long way! Worth the price!
I won this along with another face product and while it's called a sleep mask it's actually a big jar of gel like face lotion with micro beads that pop open on your skin as you gently rub it on. I used it on my face and neck. It's sooooo nice. Cooling and feels like gel that turns into water and soaks right into your skin. The fragrance is supposed to help you sleep but I find it very overpowering at first and then it fades away (or I at least became used to it). I have a LOT of spring allergies right now that make my eyes run but even though I applied it right under the eye area it didn't bother my eyes, make them burn, itch or water so that's a really good thing and leads me to believe it's probably ok for more sensitive skin. I put it on right before bed and I was worried it would just rub off on my pillow. But it soaked in so quickly that didn't happen at all. What an amazing product - I woke up with refreshed skin after just one use and my face was really soft and moisturized. It's a high end product and really expensive. I checked the retail price and I think it was around $80. I can see the jar lasting a long time because you don't need a lot of product even if you use it on your neck too like I did. I can't say at this point whether I will purchase again or not. I will have to see after continued use if it's worth the price. It is a unique product though - different from the usual night cream which tends to be thick. I don't really like the scent but because it fades quickly it will likely be price that dictates whether I purchase it to use again. I would not have paid for it if I didn't get it free to try. Way too expensive. If it's ever on a good sale I would get it.
