I loved all of the shopaholic books. They were SO funny - a nice, light read that always made me chuckle. The scenarios in this book were especially funny though. I'd read it again.
I love this series!!! It's such a fun, uplifting, easy read. I couldn't put it down and read it in 2 days!!!
I am a major fan of the Shopaholics series and all the Sophie Kinsella books, but this is the only one where I was not a major fan. It was not as funny as all the other ones. It is still a good read but it is not the best for the whole entire series.
Surprisingly good! I honestly didn't think that I was going to enjoy this book as much as I did.
Reminder - the Shopaholic series is a "light" and funny read. Don't take it so seriously and you'll enjoy them.
I enjoyed Kinsella's first three books of the Shopaholic series, but this one fell a little flat for me. Although there were some funny moments, it started to get boring, and honestly, I didn't feel it was creative enough. The fact that Becky had a long-lost sister she didn't know about and seemed to be the complete opposite of her, it was just too predictable, as all the others, including Shopaholic & Baby, and the Undomesticated Goddess, both of which I started to read, but just dropped it out of complete boredom.
This book was a huge disappointment after the success of the previous books. The plot was poor, and yes, Becky was annoying and somewhat dumb, where she seemed unwittingly clever in the first. It all seemed a little far fetched, and not at all charming like the first.
This book is another fun Kinsella read although it was not one of my favorites in the Shopoholic series. It was fun to see the differences between the sisters although I found this book was not up to the standard of the rest Shopoholic books that came before it. I found the parts about the boring sister made the book somewhat boring and I did find myself getting slightly annoyed that Becky has apparently not learned from past mistakes. Her immature spending etc was charming in the first three books but in this book I found it a bit annoying. As an escape from more serious reads, this book is worth a read though.
This book was good but definitely not as good as her first 3. Becky is her usual crazy self, getting into all sorts of trouble. It was hilarious that Becky's only sister detest shopping and so un-girlie like. I enjoyed it a lot and I'd recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed Becky's adventures and looking for a fun book to read.
It turns out that the shopaholic Becky has a long-lost sister who, omg, hates shopping! A hilarious comparison between two extremes that rung too true for myself and my own sister... After the first in the series, this is my favorite.
