Great fairy tale

this is a movie about an ogre who lives in a swamp. other fairy tale creatures show up in this movie too. it has a lot of cute singing and dancing in it

Family Time

Shrek is perfect for the entire family, some jokes only the adults will understand, but a message that the entire family will learn - looks aren't everything and beauty is more than skin deep. this is one of my favourite movies, and will forever be (as long as it's on netflix!!!!!)

Shrek was one of my favorite movies when I was younger. The characters are lovable and the plot is interesting. In it's own unique way, it shows that looks are not everything and not to judge a book by it's cover, so to speak. This is a movie the whole family will enjoy. There are three Shrek movies and they are all great.

Sherk was one of my favorite movies when I was younger ! I love that it was such an unusual love story! The whole time Fiona is trying to hide her true self from Shrek because she doesn't want to love him, and doesn't think he could love her but little do they know there perfect for each other ! Such a sweet and emotional love story that is full of humor from Eddy Murphy (aka donkey) and a great all around family movie !

This movie is great, the humor that children don't understand is great for adults while the characters and voices are perfect for children.
The actors that play the voices did an incredible job as well as the person who graphically designed the movie.

This movie is a classic! The story and messages for kids and adults are great - learn to love yourself and others for who they are! What is better than that in this day and age? They've also based a musical off the movie, which is great (I saw a local production this past summer). It's great fun for both kids and adults, which is what I look for in an animated film!

Shrek is hilarious! I enjoyed these movies with the first being my favorite. Donkey made me laugh so many times, his character was too funny. I loved all the one liners the movie had, a little adult humour mixed in there too. Plus the names of some of the characters were amusing. My favorite line still .... "Not my gumdrop button!" hahaha

I honestly do not see the appeal of this movie. This is not my brand of humour at all, even when I was a kid. My brothers and boyfriend love it though, so maybe it's more male-oriented?

This is one of the better cartoons! Although it is sad that most cartoons nowadays aren't "musicals" (except for Frozen), there are still some good songs that I associate with this movie. Although it is not a movie that my mom would let me watch if I was younger (she is very strict, and didn't let me watch any movie that had the word "stupid" in it) I really love it now. People of all ages will love this movie: there are jokes that only adults would understand, and jokes that kids love (like having an arrow in a butt.) I even watched this with my ESL class, and they thought it was funny, and understood most of it.

A Dreamworks classic. You have to watch it to know the hype. And make sure to watch the sequel (Shrek 2). It has everything: soul, pop culture references for grown folks, and a mature but entertaining story.
