Not impressed

Well the packaging was too small. I had the opportunity to use it only twice this week. I haven’t seen any results. I didn’t like the smell of it either. Definitely it’s not for me.

Sample was tiny

Honestly the sample was very, very small. Really hard to tell how good the product is with such a small size. It felt nice and my skin was decent after use but in all honesty I wouldn't pay the high price point it has for it.

Broke me out?

I think that this product broke me out? I was sent it for free to try for exchange of a review. The small sample was only enough for the one day and a half, I haven’t had acne in months and all the sudden I break out. It’s quite oily and just doesn’t work for my skin. I think next time you should give larger samples because I can’t review it based off of a couple tries. Initial thoughts not good.

Shu Uemura Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil

I received Shu Uemura Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil to try for free and review. First off, I didn't like that they used dark print on a dark bottle and packaging, especially on such a tiny bottle. No other instructions were included. I couldn't read the little bottle and had to contact Chickadvisor on how to use it. It has a very light, pleasant smell. It's a light oil, not heavy or thick. I used a small amount and applied to my face and add water to emulsify as I was told. It felt a little oily of course but not too bad. I rinsed my face with water. Within just a few minutes my face started to tingle, feel prickly, almost a slight burning sensation. I rinsed again. The sensations continued but with itchiness. It took about 20 minutes or more for it to stop. It wasn't horrible but not pleasant either. My skin did feel good after the sensations all settled down by about an hour later though. I'm not comfortable to continue using it. I have only ever reacted once to facial product like eons ago, so it must be an ingredient in this particular product that doesn't agree with my skin. So unfortunately this is a miss for me due to a reaction.

Wish this was a full-size sample

I was disappointed that this was only a sachet sample. The sachet only has enough product for one use, therefore I couldn’t get the full effect of how this product works. I am unable to leave an honest review as a result.

Skin felt greasy after 1 use

Received a small sample of this product to try......NO english instructions and the sample was too small to really give my honest opinion , and since there were No english instructions i'm not even sure I used/applied it correctly. I tried it and found my skin to be extremely greasy after my 1st use.

Not for me

This is not a product for me. I love the packaging and all (picture) but overall this is not something I would include in my routine. Maybe because of my skin type

Overpowering Scent

I'm not one that really has an issue with fragrance in my skincare. I don't have particularly sensitive skin, but this oil was scented so strongly, it shouldn't be marketed as a makeup remover. Maybe as a face makeup remover, but it definitely shouldn't be used to wipe off mascara and other eye makeup. My eyes burned so much after trying to get my mascara off. Did this product remove it? sure, it did. But I wouldn't use this again around my eyes. For that reason, if I had a full size of this product, I wouldn't want to pay the full amount because I wouldn't use it for my whole face. I guess it's personal preference, but this oil was nothing to write home about, and I won't be purchasing it. The bottle looks nice though! :)

Caused Breakouts

I was really excited to try this cleansing oil however, every time I use it, I develop acne all around my face. As a result, I will no longer be using this product or purchasing it. If you have acne prone skin, I would not recommend this product to you.

It's a no from me

I ended up using 6-8 pumps and it still didn't remove all my makeup. It's heavily scented with that fragrance luxury skincare and makeup products tend to have. I've noticed a few breakouts as well since I've started using this cleansing oil. My skin does feel soft and nourished after using it but I will discontinue using is due to the fragrance and it causing me to breakout.
