okay products

Unfortunately, this very much felt like one of those bleh products that you get, try, think they’re just alright, and then never think about again. Overall, it feels like an overpriced product for what it does, and I’ve had better experiences with products that are much more affordable. Its okay just not the greatest.

Best Cleansing Oil

I received this sample of the Shu Uemura Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil from Butterly in exchange for my honest review. I usually double cleanser when I wear makeup. This cleansing oil leaves my skin feeling fresh and it doesn’t have any sticky residue. It removes all the makeup and dirt.

Not for eye makeup

It’s got a mild scent and is quite watery (not oily at all) which is good .
Used the product to remove regular mascara. It did not come off easily and also I find oil is not good for your eye area. I got a free sample which was so small that I could only use it once

Just not a fan of cleansing oils I guess

Unfortunately, this very much felt like one of those bleh products that you get, try, think they’re just alright, and then never think about again. I can go pretty heavy on my makeup and I prefer the feeling of my skin feeling squeaky clean prior to my nighttime skincare routine. While this did absolutely cleanse my skin really well, it did also leave a film over it which I didn’t enjoy. Overall, it feels like an overpriced product for what it does, and I’ve had better experiences with products that are much more affordable.

Nice but strong scent

Works well. It did a good job removing sunscreen and makeup and rinsed off easily without residue. My skin was soft and moisturized after double cleansing. Nice ingredients. My only complaint is the scent was too overwhelming. I prefer subtle or unscented face products. I also think there are less expensive options that work just as well. But overall a nice product.

Amazing Ingredients

So the best part of this beauty product for me were the ingredients. This reduction contains amazing ingredients for nourishing the skin and keeping it so soft and healthy while feeling like a blanket. What isn't really for me is the price point.......however good, quality products aren't cheap!

Decent Oil Cleanser

The smell and texture of this cleansing oil is wonderful. It washes off well without feeling like you’ve got oil leftover. My only issue is that it could not remove my waterproof mascara. I believe that it would take off regular mascara though. #tryShuUemura

Love it!

Great oil based cleanser, it can double as a makeup remover and washes off the residue fine. I would advise using a water based cleanser afterwards as well to get a more refreshing feel on the face.

Can’t read Ingredients

Number one flaw is you cannot read or understand ingredients. This is so important for understanding what is in the product. It smelt ok but made me nervous

Effective cleansing oil

I an usually reluctant to use a cleansing oil as I like using other non-oil cleansers for my skin. I have a combination skin and oil cleansers do not feel good on my skin but Shu Uemura cleansing oil was different. It did not bother me and I enjoyed using it. It felt good and did not leave a residue like other oil cleansers!
