Left a Gross Sticky Film

I tried this on my face and neck and it left a very strange residue that I needed to scrub off. I also didn’t love the scent…. Overall very unimpressed.

Smelled good

Got this sample size , but wasn’t enough product to do a proper review on . It did smell good and had a nice texture , didn’t remove makeup. Wish there more I could review !

Like water

First I want to say I was hoping it would be a cute little bottle not a small satchet. I opened it and it was basically like water just poured out I was thinking it would have been more of an oily texture or more luxurious specially coming from Shu Uemura. Liked the smell. But that’s it.

So oily!

I mean I guess what I experienced with the product is right in the name. As I have naturally combination/oily skin, this was a disaster for me. I would maybe recommend it for people with dry skin.

Not for me

I received a sample for review and I’m less than impressed. There was so much that came out of the sachet that it got everywhere. It was so oily that it actually felt gross on my face. It took the foundation off my face but my mascara and eyeliner weren’t touched. I couldn’t wait to get the product off my face. It may have been better if I had had more control over the amount used. Honestly not a fan.

Not for me

I tried this new cleansing oil recently and I have to say that I didn't like it at all. I found it left too much oil on my skin after use. My pores felt blocked and uncomfortable. I had to wash it off. Ether is also not an ingredient I want to have in my face care products.
I'm not really a fan of the scent, but that's a personal choice. Others may like it. The name of the product is difficult to pronounce and hard to remember. Maybe shorten the name? I had high hopes for this product, but it doesn't meet my standards.

Not for me

I was given the opportunity to #tryShuUemura. This product has a floral scent. I think they need to redo their packaging so it's more easy to read. It did not make my skin feel dry but when I woke in the morning I was more oily then usual. #gotitfree #freeproduct #freesample #skincare #skincareroutine

Not worth it

I received this product for free for testing purposes. It's a very lightweight cleansing oil, like water, so personally for me it's a bit harder to work with, but again, that's just me. When I tried this, I didn't have a lot of makeup on, but I did see it "melt" when I applied this. It washed off really easily. My face didn't feel any different than if I used an inexpensive drugstore cleanser though.

Here's the clincher. I went in with micellar water on a cotton round afterwards to see if it really cleansed everything.... Nope. Still had makeup and dirt on the round. I prefer my cleansers to take everything off, not feel the need to use more product or buy a second one to take care of what the first one should have done. I don't wear heavy makeup (can't stand the way it feels), so it's disappointing if it couldn't even fully remove a light coverage amount.

Crisco

You may be wondering why I used the word, "crisco" as my headline. Probably thinking WTH is this person even saying....

Well let me say, when I used that choice or word to express the product. Is only because! It literally felt like grease all over my skin, where I ended up breaking out the next day. Nor did it budge my make up, which I was actually excited to try this product, cause it looked so promising. My skin was oily, irritated, and I just think it felt right. Everyone's different. But I've never had a make up remover or face cleanser do that before.

Meh...

I received this product complimentary of Butterly for testing purposes.
Unfortunately I was not thrilled by this cleanser.
The scent was far from pleasing.
Being an oil, it did not lather easily, so personally I felt it wasn't cleansing my skin properly.
Being a sample size, I didn't have a chance to really get to know the product, so my option is somewhat biased.
This would be a perfect product though for those that have extremely sensitive skin and allergies to scent.
That being said, I am grateful for the chance to try a product by Shu Uemura, and I hope to try many more from their beautiful line.
