Looking for a milk substitute.
I was looking for a milk substitute and read that cashew milk is the closest to dairy milk so I decided to give it a try. It is only 60 calories per cup and no cholesterol. I was expecting it to be slightly more creamy and was somewhat disappointed with the taste. However in my opinion cashew milk did taste better than other dairy substitutes I have tried in the past such as almond or soy milk. That being said despite it being healthier than my cow milk I cannot picture using this on my cereal or replacing the wholesome, creamy taste of my 2% cow milk. If I was lactose intolerant or watching my cholesterol this would definitely be my alternative to milk. I will definitely continue to buy this to make smoothies but not to replace my daily cup of milk.
