Okay ...... It's an expensive sunscreen. Nothing special. It has a slight nauseating smell but it;s bearable. The lotion is a bit only the oily side but once again bearable. Won't be buying it again
I found this product after purchasing their protecting moisturizer during a particularly harsh winter that was really drying out my face. That product was very helpful and I thought this one would be great as a lighter alternative with SPF for summer. Although I really like this product, and feel that it provides a good amount of moisture for every day, I have found that it does not absorb well into my skin (which is combination - dry/acne-prone). If I put it on and then do a bit of light exercise (eg. yoga/pilates) a few minutes later, I will be sweating a layer of it on my face. This even shows up throughout the day where I find that my face is more sweaty because of this product. I wish I knew why, because as I said, this is otherwise a good product. However, I haven't found another moisturizer which doesn't affect my sensitive skin, so for now I'm just using it on days when I don't have anything important to do and no-one can see my sweaty face.
I did not like this product. I have very sensitive skin, and I bought this moisturizer, thinking that it would be gentle on my face. It has sunscreen in it, so I used it every morning before going out to school or work, and by the end of the day, my face would have broken out and be itchy. It did not go on very smoothly either; it was more thick and sticky. Personally, I wouldn't buy this brand again. I've found much better products since that one.
Simple Kind to Skin Protecting Light Moisturizer with SPF 15 is fragrance free (a big plus, and the smell you do notice is the sunscreen, but it disappears after it's sunk into your skin). The biggest drawback is that this is not a broad spectrum UVA/UVB coverage because there's no active sunscreen ingredient that covers UVA II rays. For reference, I always compare the sunscreen ingredients to 15 Minute beauty's sunscreen chart. I've actually printed off the chart and I carry it everywhere in my wallet so I can quickly tell if a product actually has proper sunscreen protection. So, despite the fact that it does go on smoothly and works as an okay moisturizer, I would not recommend this product to anyone thinking that they're getting full UVA/UVB coverage.
I like other Simple products so decided to try this moisturizer. The moisturizer didn't moisturize my skin for longer than 20 minutes. It just didn't do the job.
