It's not doing what it claimed, but no negative side effects
I won the Centella Ampoule by Skin1004 using the Picky app!
I was so excited to try it because I have super acne prone skin -- I struggle with hormonal cystic acne along my cheeks, jaw and neck. The Centella Ampoule is supposed to help fight acne by reducing excess sebum & oil production. It's also supposed to help soothe blemishes and irritation, hydrate the skin, and can even help improve dark spots and hyperpigmentation. It's suitable for both oily And dry skin. Basically a win for everyone, right?! The packaging is also visually appealing and I don't mind the scent.
I've been using this product at least twice daily since receiving it, applying to clean skin and letting it fully absorb. It does a decent job at moisturizing my face but other than that, I haven't noticed any improvement in acne, redness, skin sensitivity, texture, dark spots, hyperpigmentation, or anything else. To be completely honest, I'm disappointed because I had high hopes. Skin1004 is a brand I've wanted to try for a long time and Centella Asiatica is all over the place lately as a popular ingredient in skincare, so I was hoping to see positive results from using this. Since I haven't had any negative side effects, I will continue to use it until the bottle is empty (which will probably take a long time because it's enormous), but I don't think I will purchase it when I run out.
