It only makes sense that the company that brought us the best popcorn snack out there (white cheddar Smartfood) would branch into offering what is commonly referred to as Chicago Mix. The blend of cheddar and caramel make a great and unexpected flavour combination that delights and satisfies any craving. I unfortunately did find that the cheese tasted very processed (duh I know it is processed but not all brands have the same powdered cheese flavour).

Overall the Chicago Mix that Costco sells is a superior product and ideal if you are having a large party or feeding a family of 10. Smartfood, I appreciate the effort but don't mess with a good thing, stick to the excellent white cheddar goodness you excel at.

whether you crave sweet or cheesy, both combined is a good balance

I enjoyed the Smartfood Popmix Cheddar & Caramel flavor quite a bit, however not enough to switch from my normal brand of cheddar & caramel packaged popcorn. I found the cheddar powder to taste a little too artificial for my liking.

Cant. stop. eating. I love caramel popcorn. And I like the cheddar popcorn too. they go together so well

Not for me. I did not dig this paticular mix of cheddar and caramel.

My boyfriend came home raving about this "Chicago style" smartpop he found at Co-op so when we went to the convenient store he insisted we buy some so I could try it. The bag has caramel popcorn kernels mixed with yellow cheddar popcorn kernels to give you the sweet & salty combination that is so often craved, however I can't get past the flavour combination.

I'm a huge cheese fanatic, and enjoy Carmel popcorn, but the 2 were not meant to collide. After deciding that I didn't like the mix, I thought maybe if I try the kernels separately- it's easy enough to see which is which. That wasn't any better though, the flavours had been mingling in the bag for so long that the cheddar kernel had a weird almost burnt sugar taste, and the caramel tasted like sweat socks. I think this is one of my boyfriend's snack foods that is safe from me.

These are soooo addicting! Its hard to stop eating the whole bag at once :)

Nice cheesy flavor, put together with carmel popcorn. A big hit!
