It's a palette.... like any other? No actually I was rather disappointed. ..no pigment ...too much sparkles ...messy...smash box dropped the bomb on this one...sorry to say.
I really like the colors available in this palette. Provides good range of neutral matte shades to shimmer, giving versatility with the looks you can create. However,I did find that if I didn't use primer that there was a lot of falout during the day. The only other pallette that I could find with these same options that tend to blend a little better is the Lorac Pro Palette. The brush that came with the palette was decent. The mascara sample was great! The packaging is also done very well.
While this palette has a great range of neutral colors, they don't stay on very long. This is especially true with the glittery shades. My midday, the shadow has fallen all over my face. The colors are also not very pigmented. I expected much more from Smashbox as I use a number of their other products and love them.
I use this palette almost everyday because it has a range of both daytime and nighttime shades. I find that by the end of a long day, the shadows do look a little bit tired and faded on my lids- but since I just use it to make myself look decent for school, I'm not complaining! I also like the way the eyeshadows blend, it's quite easy to control.
The brush that it comes with has a more fluffy side and a flatter side. The flatter side is really good when used to apply the sparkly colours. I like the sleek look and feel to this palette. It feels nice and sturdy to the touch!
Overall this palette is versatile and enough to create classic day and night looks.
I've read so many mixed reviews on this pallete, but after experiencing it myself I would have to say I was slightly dissapointed in the shimmer shades. The shimmer is more like glitter and is nearly completley sheer. However, the matte shades are extremley pigmented and are the best I have used to date.
I received the Full Exposure palette as a gift after eyeing it on Pinterest for some time. I have to say that the more I use the palette, the more I like it. At first I was unsure of the colours, as the top glittery shades are extremely glittery and almost over the top. The neutral bottom shades are perfect for work, but required a lot of reapplying for them to stay true to their colours. After seeing a hint online, I have started wetting my brush before use, and find that the hues are more vibrant, and stay on my eyes without creasing longer. Since wetting the brush, I have found that I am liking the palette more and more. I have tried to use primer but have not had the same results. I believe this is a palette worth buying because of the neutral shades, but believe that they take a lot of time and practice to master.
I just recently purchased the Smash box Full Exposure Palette from sephora for around $58 CAD. I've been eyeing the Lorac Pro Palette forever, but its always sold out and they took the brand out of stores.
The smashbox palette reminded me much of the Lorac Pro. Neutral colors with matte and shimmery shades.
I don't mind the shades, all neutral which I can't go wrong with. But honestly, the palette doesn't really stand out from all my others. I don't find the shadows too pigmented and the shimmery ones do have some fall out.
Overall it's an okay palette, not amazing doesn't make me reach for it everyday. Could have gone without it to be honest.
